Much better than Skule but I don't know if they're fits at guard.
Also think there's a bigger drop-off in talent between the top tackles and these guys than there is between top WRs and guys like Mims and Aiyuk. Jones may also be gone by 31.

He's the one OT id want at 13 and he's never played LT.

2020 NFL Draft | Though not playing a glamorous position, John Simpson (Clemson, OG) is a plug-and-play option. @BradKelly17 details the upside of the 2020 #NFLDraft prospect. https://t.co/m20A1w64hi pic.twitter.com/qG8wEEVmhn

Jack Driscoll is a OT prospect in the 2020 draft class out of Auburn.

He posted a great #RAS with poor size, elite speed, great explosiveness, at the OT position.https://t.co/PyZJ0tSsHy pic.twitter.com/iZbUmb92yH
He's a guy that makes sense to SF on day 3

Did we meet with him? I just think he's a solid OG. Only big boy we've talked to is the dude from Michigan.

Not sure why all of a sudden everyone believes MM when John Lynch said it himself at the Combine that he doesn't think Staley will retire. And even Staley himself said he's gonna play out his contract.
"No, I'm signed and under contract here," responded Staley, whose two-year extension through 2021 was announced by 49ers CEO Jed York at the State of the Franchise event in June.
"I still love playing football," Staley added. "It's like the ninth time someone's asked me (about retirement). I'm starting to wonder why."
Classic JL/KS...letting MM know that Joe is 50/50. Thot so at the time too .Put your money on this: Joe wants a RING. That's all that matters. He will play out his contract barring bad injury, He knows how close we were this past season. He also knows we need IOLs that can passblock. Kyle has shorted OGs in the past, but it is obvious what our weakness was in the SB. Couldn't pass block. Good run blockers but when you need time for your QB to throw, you gotta have pass blocking. But the 50/50 thing makes us think, unh oh, joe may not be back.... we gotta have not just 1 but two OLs in first two picks. Having that info come out is bad news for us folks that know we need OLs who passblock. (Knowing kyle tho they better be able to zone block also), so WRs are more likely based on this comment. CB would be in the mix also. I sure hope kyle gets Us our OLs(yes, plural) in rd 1. Obviously tho, JL/KS have to really like the both OLs for that to go down.
More likely, Kyle goes bug-eyed over the two ALA guys or Lamb (OKLA) at # 13, but I sure wish he would go OL. If the cover corner that JL wants is a better player than the OL, ok fine. WRs are our 3rd biggest need compared to OL/CB.
I'm repeating myself but we are loaded at "BALL CATCHERS" with Bourne, Mostert, Coleman, Wilson, au Jus, Deebo, of course Kittle and watch out for Dwelley having a big year, and on top of that, Hurd, TT, Jet and McK all due back. C'mon. Those who insist on a WR , fine. But with that talent above there aren't enough footballs NOW to go around.
It all boils down to just how well JL/kyle like the OT (used as OG first yr or two), when we pick. Maybe their guy is gone at 13 and they go WR...or CB. I hope it isn't WR, as good as all 3 are. There are still some really good WRs that will be there in rd 2.

"It has talent, but it has questions," the AFC exec said of the tackle group.
...
Then there was this from another executive who underscored the crapshoot the draft is at every position.
"I think the tackle class is really overrated," he said. "There's not a great one, not a Joe Thomas, in the group. All these guys have their warts."
...
Part of the problem is the top four tackles all spent just three seasons in college. Offensive line was the last position to see large numbers of underclassmen declaring for the draft. A general feeling persisted for years that offensive linemen needed as much physical maturation as possible before going pro.
...
"They've been thrust up there as the unquestioned top four because they're juniors," said a personnel man. "The media just kind of does that with juniors. They just assume these guys are great prospects because they're coming out early, and they're not."
...
Meanwhile, at center, some teams like the group while others don't. There seemed to be close to unanimity when it came to guard, where one team emerged from meetings with merely three draftable players.
"The bar is so low for centers and guards in the NFL," said one executive. "People are just so desperate for bodies.
...
Another evaluator drily observed, "They all get drafted if they're offensive linemen."

"Know why I have him fifth (on his vote)?" said a fourth scout. "Because he loves to cook and eat more than he loves frigging football…"
