If we are looking for an athletic LB who fits the mold of the modern backer who can cover Josh is an interesting prospect who is also extremely bright. He played RB and Safety in high school and flew under the radar due to transferring schools otherwise he would have been rated higher. (Eligibility rules caused him to miss his junior year in HS). He was also a 4.3 GPA student. Due injuries he is working on his masters as a RS senior this year. His coaches also call him 'coach' due to his on-field understanding of the game and leadership. From what I understand the Niners were scouting him last year prior to his injury.
