My #1 favorite this year. Ads size and physicality to our WR core and RB rotation. We definitely lack a big back Morris or Hyde and getting one with legit sub 4.4 speed and WR experience is a dream.
Imagine him as the safety valve out of the backfield in 11 personnel

Yup you're right SF met with Bowden Jr.
Is Shany building a position less offensive team like the NBA Warriors where You got to be able to master multiple positions in his scheme? I like it. Where is this kid projected to go now?

Same. He's got to be high on their boards tbh.
late second round, third round pick. looking at some of the past selections like Hurd and Deebo, its not hard to see with KS would be interested in a player like Gibson. completely different style and physical makeup but someone like Lynn Bowden has this versatility as well. As a WR, Shenault is a similar power runner with the ball in his hands getting yards after catch, but Gibson has more homerun potential. Either way, need to move back to acquire more picks to select Gibson.

Absolutely should trade back in this deep draft. Need a 3rd rd pick.
Gibson should be our future starting RB will take him a year as a back-up + return man to learn

A RB that big, that fast who you can move out wide at any moment would be such an amazing weapon for Shanahan.

Against Arizona, I watched Jimmy throw a deep ball to Mostert running a wheel route out of the backfield on fourth and two. RB created separation. Perfect ball. Hits Mostert in the hands. Turnover on downs.

We need a guy like him, if not him.

Definitely should get him.
He would be our starting RB, get ~10 carries plus 3-5 passes per game so would be more impact than a WR that will only see ~5 touches per game

Couple things wrong with this:
1. He isn't likely to beat out Mostert who has played well this year, especially in the postseason.
2. His value add over Mostert/Coleman/Breida (if any at all) is likely much lower than a WR's impact over our #2 WR whether it's Bourne or someone else.

RBs get more touches than WRs in general but teams don't value them nearly as much. You can see that in contracts. Unless you have a RB like Barkley, the OL does most of the work and should get credit for most of the rushing production not the RB.

I'm fine with picking Gibson as a future cheap replacement for one of our RBs but he isn't going to contribute much in year 1. I can't see us picking him ahead of teams that actually have a need at RB.

Gibson looks like a late 2nd round pick which we are better off using to address a need like WR, DT, CB, or OL.
