Bradlee Anae EDGE, Utah

Gonna need to stock up on some more pass rushers, I want to try and look at guys that aren't gonna be top 50 picks.

Bradlee Anae is 6-3 265 and can play all over that DL. I really like that Utah defense in general this yr (from the games I've watched).

He's not super athletic BUT fits the mold of who Lynch likes. He's got power and can set the edge. He has a high motor. He's got enough bend (not super flexible). He's got strong hands and enough length. I've seen him on big boards around the 3rd rd.

His stats have improved every yr. 7 sacks in 17, 7.5 in 18, 12.5 in 19.

if anyone watches a lot of Pac-12 let me know you're thoughts on him.

Nice guy to fit into this defense
Anae's bend at his size is just plain sick. This class is so chock full of prospects at so many positions, we have GOT TO trade down to snag as many as we can. Anyone who isn't in our long term plans needs to go, and get a draft pick if you can for them.

yes sir!

I'm all for moving someone like Pettis for a day 3 pick (if that's even realistic) I hope we move down a couple times with our original 1st. This draft is deep at a lot of positions of need.

Yep. Trade down 1-2 times at least. I also wouldn't mind if they traded a 5th and future 2nd for a 2020 2nd round pick in addition to a trade down to really stock up on talent.

How is the free agency class on edge rusher? If we can get a good free agent pass rusher (I don't know how and I don't know who) I'd use that number one pick and use it for more DB depth or a good RB to challenge Coleman or Wilson (I know, Kyle doesn't pick RB's that high) I'm just speculating because I'm so excited about how Kyle's offense has developed and is really going more to a ground game.

Having said that, I'm all for getting more draft picks by trading down that first round pick if the draft gurus say we can get some good depth players in the 2nd through 4th rounds.

ahh resigning AA would be getting that DE/DT in FA

They can't spend a ton of money outside of SF IMO. They also need to move down from that late first at all costs (unless some elite talent drops). This is a deep draft at a lot of positions. No way do you burn that on a RB (which is probably one of the deepest positions anyway).

NY- I'm definitely less than knowledgeable at college players and who can/will make an impact at the next level. But, looking at these highlights of Annae, why do you think he wouldn't be in the top 50? Is it due to a plethora of other great edge rushers? Or, as you've been saying, this draft is deep in many areas, that good-to-great players will be had throughout the draft?

Anae looks like a 2nd round talent to me, with flashes of 1st rounder every now and then. The depth in this class could push him to the third, or a team that really likes him simply plucks him in the 2nd. Of the pass rushers I've watched though, he's definitely up there among the better ones in this class.
