If he gives 100% of his effort to his future, I think he is going to be sticky, and makes it hard for the coaching staff to let him go.
He reminds me of TO....your not 100% sure he will make the catch...but if he does....watch out.
Combine numbers -
TO - 6'3", 215 lb. 4.65 40yd
JJ - 6'3", 215 lb. 4.72 40yd
i was referring to semi dependable hands.....
He is not a sure catcher...he bobbles the ball on catches.
I was just pointing out his "slow" 40, comparing to TO's 40, who is his height & weight. He's definitely not the same type of receiver as TO.
Like others have pointed out, Bolden is a closer comparison.

This guy was drafted for two main purposes:
1. Be a stud gunner on special teams. That is where he can add value and make the roster.
2. Be a monster blocker in the run game. He has the size, strength, and tenacity to line up in the slot and seal off linebackers in the ZBS.
That is what he will, or should, focus on as soon as he gets to training camp. Anything he can add to the passing game will be gravy.

thats crazy isnt it. im guessing a completed strength score might have bumped up his rating, or maybe they are even counting than at a 0 instead of a null in that algorithm. i would consider Owens to be one of the greatest athletes to ever play the position.

The hype around this guy reminds me of DeAndre Smelter or Nate Davis.

Nate Davis could have been the next Montana, he would have failed anyway.
We had such bad foundations at the time.
That´s why I hope they keep Kyle for a long long time.
Good luck finding someone better than him.

Same here
I was a huge fan of Nate Davis also. He was always fun to watch during the Preseason. That learning disability really hindered him.

The only reason they liked Smelter is because of his 11 inch hands.
At least JJ has good/great production

Smelter was one of the worst mid-round picks I've ever seen a GM make. I was literally SCREAMING for Baalke to take Diggs and just about lost my everloving mind when we took Smelter who at the time I didn't think should've been drafted.
Smelter came from a system where he ran virtually ZERO NFL routes. He was not very productive even with the system being considered, AND he was coming off a torn ACL that would make him a redshirt player for the coming season. It was a downright asinine selection, especially considering who was on the board at the time, and I'm still not over it.
Jennings may not be fast, but he has every other tool to help him possibly succeed. The drive, the physicality, the route knowledge, size, and durability. Hopefully his head is on right as he goes forward.
