This.

Teams and draft analysts already know he's a speed demon. Not sure he's gonna run sub 4.3 at 205.

If he does he will shoot up like John Ross. Not saying they are the same player just the Trayvon Austin John Ross rise.

So he's gonna go top 10??

He's not gonna go higher than lamb/Judy/Ruggs regardless of what he runs.

FWIW austin and ross put up some quality stats their last yr in college.

To be frank, if the 49ers want to replace Emmannuel Sanders with his clone, just go get James Proche from SMU. Won't necessarily wow with any size or top-tier speed, but he's simply a good football player.

FWIW, Chad Reuter of NFLN mocks Proche to Green Bay at #94. I'm not an expert but he looks like a good value at that level.
I like this kid's moxie.

We're all eager for Reagor.

Nice! He's not "saving it" for his pro-day....kyle and lynch love competitors

Sounds like that interview went well. We're probably salivating at the thought of having him on the team. Another note on Proche, I found it interesting, it was noted that Kyle loved Deebo not just because he was excelling in his matchups, but because "he was just a good football player" -- stuff like that leads me to believe Proche is a guy who still would be on our board, even if it's not as high as someone like Reagor.

Another thing.. The comments Kyle made about keeping Goodwin were pretty eye-opening. Seems like either Goodwin stays or is traded, but won't be cut (barring our hand being forced). Say Goodwin comes back and is actually healthy.. and we draft Reagor..

Deebo Reagor Goodwin ... If only Hurd was healthy...

I didn't hear him talk about Goodwin, must have missed that.

Zero chance Goodwin stays in SF on his current contract. I wouldn't imagine kyle would say he's gonna cut anyone to the media at the combine.

On Marquise Goodwin, who went on injured reserve to have surgery on his toe and knee: "We wouldn't release Marquise. He's too valuable. He fell out of the rotation then had an injury and wanted to go on IR so he could get it cleaned up. I think it is. I haven't seen him for a while. 'Quise is a guy who can play in this league. If he's on our team, he's going to be competing with that group, and if not, I feel confident another team will want him."

From the Mercury News article. Reading between the lines, this is no question us dangling him out there.

And then if he does it
We need this kid. But if he runs a good forty and bumps ruggs down to us, ill still be happy :)

Talk about a win/win

First move...act like you still like them. search for any sort of draft capital...realize no one is giving you anything for an often injured/butt fingers WR with a $5M cap hit.

second move....cut him

Like him as a human. Love the speed. doesn't mean a damn thing if you can't catch the ball and you're always hurt. SF gave him over $10M time to move on. Let him do his Olympic thing

Wholeheartedly agree he needs to be cut if we can't find a taker. In an updated article, the latest report added Goodwin "will not be released... unless the 49ers need to create cap room." Well, DUH. We all know/knew this.

Seriously...captain obvious whoever wrote that report.

No team is going to release players who can help in any shape or form unless there are cap implications or roster implications forcing their hand.

Having said that IMO there is less than 1 % chance Goodwin is a 49er next year but anything can happen I guess.
