When you add in the trade up capital and picks we spent on Sanders it's like 6 picks in the first four rounds of the last three drafts on WR, so basically 6 of the top 12 picks spent at WR.
Meanwhile we have bigger needs at CB and OL.
Who are the sure things we have at WR?
We have a lot less questions at CB and OL.

Lol yup because past drafts and their failures really matter when you're drafting the following yr in a totally different draft
Who gives a s**t if they spent draft capital on a certain position, unless that position is good to go it's STILL a need.
Guess we should have passed on Bosa because they spent a ton of draft capital on DL.
Reaching for need when it's not close to the best prospect is a good way to have a s**tty team.

Right? Am I taking crazy pills or is our current WR group literally Deebo and a bunch of what ifs??
This draft is loaded at WR and you'd be a moron to not take advantage of it.
One of the silliest things I'm reading in here is passing on WR, when in fact it's a need, because we spent picks on the position in the past be a whole lot different if those past picks turned into a talented WR group BUT no one can truly say that

I'm about as anti WR as anyone but in a draft that is loaded with WRs and when you don't have many picks you need those picks to hit. So I can absolutely get behind going receiver early in this draft just cause they will be the BPA. I would personally love it if we could get an Edge cause I think that should be the highest priority but not reach and a IOL to compete and I'll be happy.

Yup end of the day you just have to draft good players. They could have 5 WRs with 1st rd grades and not even have a single IOL with a 1st or 2nd rd grade. What do you do? Go for the guy with the 3rd rd value because it's kinda a bigger need or get the much better prospect at a position that's actually still a need
Gotta take advantage of what the draft has...it so happens it's amazing at WR this yr.

Are you referencing the 2014 draft that was hyped as the greatest WR draft of all time. And we waited til the 4th round to select Bruce Ellington....
