Right off the bat, the first comp the immediately comes to mind is Preston Smith. Their frames are identical, similar stride movements, very handsy with their moves, etc.
Yeah he's an impressive kid, with a high ceiling, Preston Smith is a good comp I think, again I think he will be better and become a legit superstar in the league, he has traits that players in the league are being taught, he's ahead of normal DEs coming into the league IMO

Not gonna lie, the thought of an edge rushing trio featuring Bosa, Ford and Gross-Matos is quite appealing. You could constantly keep rotating them throughout and if Ford is hurt, you've got an instant replacement for him that will give tackles all they can handle. I've gone back and forth on him for awhile but I really wouldn't be upset if this is someone they went with after trading down from #13. That would further solidify a major strength on the DL, you could also have some fun with moving him or Bosa to 3T at times.

I've been seeing him mocked from 18 to the early 2nd round, considering it's a weak edge class I think he's a top 20 pick, I agree with you tho, trade back grabbing him and then at 31 take a WR, hopefully a guy like Mims would be available at 31.

I was thinking the same thing with that trio of pass rushers! And you're right, rotate them and keep them fresh and that way if one of them gets dinged up, we'll still be alright. I'm actually wouldn't mind trading down from 13 in the mid 20s and we accumulate picks and him being one of the candidates for best player on our board. At 31, we can still trade down a bit. Very intriguing draft indeed. Can't wait!

Have been toying around with the idea of drafting YGM on some simulators. Really depends on what needs you see for the team and how pressing they are. DE is not a glaring need, but would be an amazing luxury. I seemingly see more needs than most on these boards, which pretty much necessitates the trade back of both first round picks. Keep coming up with decent combinations though.
13 for 25, 58, 105. 31 for 45, 76.
25 - DE Yetur Gross Matos
45 - WR Brandon Aiyuk
58 - CB Bryce Hall
76 - DT Jordan Elliot
105 - OG Damien Lewis
25 - DE Yetur Gross Matos
45 - DT Justin Madubuike
58 - WR Michael Pittman
76 - OL Robert Hunt
105 - CB Michael Ojemudia

Good hands, athletic strength, varied attack styles even if they aren't fully polished, and that stride of his - long that it allows him to make up ground in chunks, but so long it hypothetically allows him to be rerouted by opposing strength.
A too-simple thought I have sometimes when watching him is that he strikes me as an Aldon with a playback speed of 0.75.
While I would probably prefer other positions at Yetur's likely selection spot, I would definitely find excitement at the prospect of he, Bosa, Ford, and Armstead and the waves of pain they would bring.

Perfect player for a team to move up for if he's there at 31

That's a no from me dog.
Only way they pick a player at #31 is if they traded down from #13. I think even with a trade down from #13 they could still trade down from #31 for the right price.

This. I doubt he gets past Seattle but there are so many similarities between him and Chandler Jones. I think he's mostly a guy that needs to get coached up a little better but the ceiling is enormous and the 49ers are one Dee Ford injury away from their pass rush becoming garbage again. We saw teams be able to neutralize Bosa without Ford out there last season, now take away Buckner too.

Yeah, that's what I worried too. Our D was lights out when we have Ford and Bosa together and we suffered once Dee went out for awhile. Give me Aiyuk/ Reagor on our second first and just fill out the rest from the rest when we trade down from 13.

This guy will go way earlier than most of the mock drafts are projecting. Every team could greatly benefit from a better pass rush and there are just not many guys out there each year that have the potential to beat nfl tackles year one. If this guy somehow was around at 31 I think we could scrap our trade down plan.
