Trevis Gipson Tulsa EDGE

Day 3 prospect with some real upside. Senior Bowl he weighed-in at 260LBs at 6'3" (and some change) and has 34 1/8" arms.

-super flexible and can sink his hips, has some good bend.
-improved a ton from his Junior to Senior yr
-has a ton of pass rush moves (might not really know how to deploy them right now)
-has all the athletic tools you want for a 4-3 DE.
-Lined up in all over the DL because of how much Tulsa uses 3-man rushes.
-very good vs the run.

comp I've seen is Mario Addison. IMO I see a little Za'Darius Smith because he can roll all over that DL.

I know nothing about him but this is the kind of players we're looking at this year. Unless Lynch turns into a real trade monster, we're going to be picking a lot of guys based on potential and possibly viewed as projects.

Yeah that's the type of players I've been tried to look at for a position like EDGE. I don't see us drafting one early BUT I can see them getting one on day 3.

Kid has upside and the tools you want in a 4-3 DE. could make for a solid rotational guy. possible starter down the road.

Okay, so:

#1 I am a fan of Gipson. Definitely been on my radar after what I saw of him this year. Love the traits and potential.

#2 Man, we are going to have like 4361369814698103698 posts for each individual player fans like on here. Kind of get the feeling we should just do position group only type of threads to consolidate a bit (I like the WR Class and Hog Molly threads, for example). Just a thought!

Haha. I haven't done a single mock yet, usually in full blown draft mode halfway thru the season not so much this yr.

I'm down for whatever I do like having some individual threads, just so we can have good feedback on that one prospect. I feel like in positional threads guys kinda get skimmed over for the next guy that gets added and so on.

FWIW I wouldn't usually makes threads for a bunch of day 3 guys, but I feel like that's kinda where we're gonna be drafting.

We're all still hungover I think. It will pick up after the draft, I hope we find a couple gems and find a way to trade down and add a couple picks.
