I just started watching this guy's tape after being so impressed by his combine interview.

early impression: I think I've found my first draft crush. There's something to be said for being the son of a former professional athlete and growing up in a locker room or around pros. To use Shanny's favorite line, the game isn't too big for them. Not just the actual game, but everything that comes with it ie preparation, fame, money, etc. This dude seems to have the ideal makeup and precisely what the 49ers want in their players.

This play is absolutely bananas. Crazy display of ball tracking, body control, and desire in a big moment. He wanted it more than the receiver.

Didn't watch a lot of Winfield but definitely have heard a lot about him - he's showing some true playmaking abilities here in making a key INT. The Niners had good Safety play from Ward & Taart this past season but would like to see more playmaking back there in the form of INTs. I don't think either had a pick last season.

His 4.45 40 yard Dash definitely ups his position in the draft...Might be a 1st rounder now, for sure top 50

Yup not sure anyone thought he'd run that fast, trade back from 31 and grab him if Ward is gone and I'd love it..

His height may still scare some teams away but only the ones who forget that Mathieu is the same height and besting.

I hope we trade down from 31 and take this guy. My draft crush this year.
Can trade Tartt for a 3rd or 4th rounder hopefully.

I have a serious fear he wont be there at 31, much less with a trade down. I may be pushing him up too high but, if he is there at 31 I dont think I would risk a trade back. He is one of a small handful of guys I would just take and be happy he was still there.

I like Winfield Jr a lot too and think he will go higher than the middle 2nd round projection he has been given. Anything I've seen from him is he is in the right place at the right time and wills himself to make a play

Never forget. Saw a picture where Hill did the same to him. I love how the league can just humble people. No matter who you are.
