Antonio Gandy-Golden, WR, Liberty | 6-4 223 4.56

I could've sworn there was a thread on this guy already. Since there's not, I think there needs to be. He's not been talked about quite as much around here, but he's a legitimate top 100 prospect in my opinion. Very similar to Larry Fitzgerald in terms of size, sensational hands, and OK but unspectacular speed. Red zone monster who ranked 4th in the nation in receiving yards and top 25 in TDs. Had a quietly strong week at the Senior Bowl and capped it off by scoring in the game.

Says he loves blocking to get inside DBs heads. Models his game after Fitz and Julio.

Height: 6-4
Weight: 223
Speed: 4.56 (est.)
Character? High.
Leader? Team captain.
Production? Finished 2019 with 1400 yards + 10 TDs. 2nd straight double-digit TD season.

Notes
- Great body control
- Wins on contested catches
- Smart use of "late hands"
- Impressive vertical gives DBs no chance on some plays

This is the receiver I keep looking at.
Ran a 4.60 flat, which looks about right based on film. Still looks like a good football player and as I mentioned, kind of like a poor man's Larry Fitzgerald when you look at his strengths. Incredibly strong, and a long strider who is a great catcher of the football with elite body control, strong football IQ, and high personal character.
Do you think he can be had in the late 3rd OTC?

I would love to get an elite WR but I'm seeing serious depth and would rather try to snag Ruiz on a trade back and WR in the 3rd/4th

I don't know if his 40 time changed anything, but before that people were saying he was a 5th round pick. I think the team needs a big receiver who can just go get the ball.

NICE!!!!

It feels good having faith in our staff to get WR's... Pettis has the tools, shown it in the NFL, but not the staffs fault he's mentally weak.

I'd love to have a true #1 but Kyle shows having multiple #2's and play calls that exploit the defensive coverage get W's!

Anything can happen, but before the combine, I saw several mocks placing him in the 2nd round. NFL.com mocked him to Minnesota in the 2nd round. Most scouting sources I've seen say he solidified himself a top prospect in this class, and as a legitimate Top 100 caliber pick. He lacks elite change-of-direction and may have a slight adjustment period to the NFL, but nonetheless, has enough positives to warrant being a 3rd round pick. Depending on how other picks shake out, I wouldn't go so far as say it's impossible that he slips a little further.

Ok your sources are more legit. I just watched a few YouTube mock drafts, maybe they were reaching. I cannot get off the big receiver hype train, eventually we will get one lol.

Love this guy, would not be disappointed if we drafted him 😁
Guy comes off as a one trick pony. 50/50 ball specialist.
Not worry about the 4.56 speed if he puts in the work with route running. Intriguing.
