I don't care about him turning his head cause he's where he needs to be. My problem is his hands. Way to reliant on using his hands to cover which will get exposed and be free first downs.

Ahkello had been playing corner for the entirety of his college career. He should have figured the technical issues out. This is Iggy's second year and he's playing in a conference that features the stacked receiving corps of Bama, LSU, and Florida. That says something.

The most fascinating cornerback prospect in the 2020 NFL draft is Auburn's Noah Igbinoghene.

I break down why he will be the biggest riser of this loaded CB class:https://t.co/K0kAcCaxf0

I was thinking low 4.4s anything under 4.5 at his size is pretty good.

Yeah. His athleticism just pops on tape.

Noah Igbinoghene, CB, Auburn:
— Jordan Reid (@JReidNFL) March 22, 2020
• Uses the sideline as an extra defender
• Route recognition/pattern matcher
• Easy deep/catch up speed (+)
• Upside/Only played CB for 2 yrs.
• Balance/patient technique (++)
• Click-close downhill trigger (+) pic.twitter.com/KKRwNoWQPv
Anybody that says Igbinoghene has the most upside of any CB not named Jeffrey Okudah would get no arguments from me.

He's a baller.

Would love it if he's one of our picks after a trade back from #31

He doesn't instinctively turn his head toward the play when the ball arrives. He'll be a living PI penalty in the pros.

This is what I saw too. Reminds me of Witherspoon in that if you can coach him up you can get a really good player.
I don't trust our coaches to do that. Pass.

Half the clips in his highlight reel are PI in the NFL.
I'll pass on physical corners who don't trump their head when the ball is coming and get hit in the back with the ball. That's free yards for the offense.

Honestly I hate when a team drafts a guy in the hope that they develop into something different than what they've shown themselves to be in college. You can say that he's raw and that it will all come along but to me he has seemed like a guy who lacks awareness, doesn't consistently position himself well in coverage and when he he is really afraid of getting beat he gets super grabby, rarely looks for the ball and that won't fly in the NFL, at least not if you're playing outside of Seattle.

He is no Carlos Rogers. I don't think he is going to do what the 49ers want from their CBs, especially in the next few seasons.
I say that having watched just about every single Auburn snap for the last 20 years.
His biggest strength is he is sticky, and will be in the area of the pass when it arrives. So he can play defense from a chase position....but he does ALOT of player watching, not ball watching. Thats good for defending the play action, but I also think he is going to get called for a zillion PI and get rubbed off with regularity.
I don't think this fits in with a defense that play's zone as much as the 49ers do.
He has sooooo much room for improvement, I like the guy, and I think he potentially could be a shutdown CB in NFL eventually, but.....with a lack of picks 2-4 i don't think he is a luxury the 49ers can afford. He could turn into a great NFL player, i just think the 49er do not have the draft capital to take that gamble.
