I'm very intrigued. What round is he projected and is he still trying to convert to TE? He is fast enough to stay at WR. One of the fastest in this class, and biggest.
Can't see how he converts now, I think 3rd would be highest for him, I'd be surprised if sooner.

I wouldn't be... but I don't want em anyway.
I'm just diving into the tape, but I'm getting early Jalen Hurd vibes.

I think Hurd is more versatile. His RB background helps with the personnel we run.

I just didn't see this speed from Claypool on tape

It's like myles Boykin all over again lol.

As a ND fan who saw every game CC played, I agree the speed on tape doesn't match what's on film. Good prospect but not the fit we are looking for IMO.

To me, I see more Darren Waller than Hurd. Despite the athletic numbers, there is very little "shake" to gain separation in his film, and little evidence that his game speed is that fast. He's got good speed though, and I think he still has a chance to be a quality TE if he converts.

Yes! Waller is a good comp. he's gotta be able to be a in-line blocker in Kyle's scheme if he's a TE imo.
Darren Waller is definitely a more apt comp.
How hard in Kyle right now?

I feel like since the media started blowing up Kittle for how dominate a blocker he is more people are trying harder to be dominate blockers.

Definitely. But how fun would it be to have Kittle, Juice, Hurd, and Claypool out there on an outside zone run. There'd be a minimum of 4 pancakes. We might never need to throw again.

Deebo will pancake someone just on principle.

So is he a TE? If so he's gonna have to block bigger guys then 170lb slot DBs lol. He's gonna have to get on the line and take on DEs.

His film just doesn't match up with his combine imo.
