Simms ranks CJ Henderson as the #1 CB prospect in the draft primarily because of his top CB athleticism.

Damon Arnette, the other Ohio State corner, could be a sleeper. 3 year starter, but, super physical and extremely confident. Very interesting career, he was absolutely awful last year. He must have had an epiphany or something because he was lockdown in 2019 and he flashed all over the field. If he drops I would pick him up in a second.

Some good cover 3 corners in this class, Arnette being one of them. Would be a good selection if we had some late second or early third round picks.

I stopped watching CBs years ago because it's pointless without the all-22.
That said, what you can take away from the broadcast angle is the ability to tackle, so I may have to start there. I also keep seeing CJ Henderson the Niners. If this dude can't or doesn't want to tackle, keep him the hell away from the 49ers. This regime loves to adopt Patriot football philosophies. Here's a Belichick staple: CBs that don't tackle are removed from the board. Cornerback evaluation literally starts with tackling.

I was going to ask you about Jaylon Johnson from Utah. I have read some reports a out him and his physical play along with his instincts. Seems like if he is more than just a willing tackler you would be in favor of said prospect. Does Johnson from Utah fit that billing in your opinion?

Yeah, in the Joe Gibbs zone running videos, he mentions teaching his fullback and lineman not to even block corners, the RB is supposed to make him miss or run him over.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Legit 6 footer with decent wingspan. Great press skills but is good playing off man as well. Willing tackler in run support. Physical player with a good attitude. 3.6 GPA as well. Possible target at 31, but would be better in the 40s with a trade back.

Greg Cosell loves CJ Henderson. Said he has better zone eyes than Okudah (can't remember where he said it but I'll try to find it). No mention of tackling as a weakness.
So a s**t load of people who are paid to evaluate players love this guy but WR thirsty niner fans think he's a waste of a pick. Not sure who to trust here.
To be clear, I have no dog in this race. Will be happy with whoever we draft. The echo chamber in here just cracks me up this time of year.

Well im a guy who wants to draft a CB after a trade down. Just prefer a different one as i think the otber one fits better than CJ. plus CJ wouldn't be there after a trade down anyway so it would be moot from my perspective.

The Raiders have absolutely nothing at CB, at this point I would be shocked if they didn't take Henderson
