Javon Kinlaw-DT-South Carolina

Picking at 13 makes things interesting since there will be a really good player available but there's no telling who it will be. Unlike last year when it was nearly 100% that we would get Bosa, there is no way to be sure which WR will be there when we pick. The guy they want could be gone or all 3 could be gone. Nearly every year there is at least one highly rated player that slides back and ends up changing the rest of the round. If all 3 are gone or Jeudy and Ruggs are gone and they don't like Lamb then which way do they go. They could grab the best player on the board that fills a need of trade back. It's a high enough pick to be desirable to another team so they could pick up at least one and maybe 2 picks and still be in the first round.

If you want anyone good in free agency, you are overpaying. As much as I LOVED Buckner as a player, do you realize he is taking up 10% of the Colts cap space? Trying to grab guys in free agency, at multiple positions, is not a plan for longterm success. We should take advantage of the way the game is being played and add another receiver. Move back with pick 31 and add more edge rush help.
Definitely in favor of taking Kinlaw at pick #13

I think they take Ruggs at 13 then Blacklock or Gallimore later. But they could flip positions if the right guy was there

Huh? When you keep investing into the same position with your highest picks yr after yr you can't afford to keep all of them when contracts are do.

I have no issues with taking a crack DT but since when have we got enough Edge?

That's what I was gonna ask..

Hero, I know you said you are done with 1st round DTs (if I'm reading what you were saying correctly), but I was watching some D. Brown highlights, and I don't think I've ever seen a guy at his size make the kind of plays he was making in his highlight package. I realize this is a Kinlaw thread, but I didn't see a thread for Brown and didn't feel like starting one just for one play.

The 1st play in the video, where the heck was he lined up?

Oh so sorry, due. Hopefully people weren't too confused by that
warming up to this guy at #13

Tankathon mock has us taking him, 4 qbs and 4 OTs go and Jeudy / Ruggs go 18 and 19

Even if you turn one you cant keep into a 1st rou d pick allowing to draft his replacement?

I say this not wanting Kinlaw at 13. But not opposed to a DT either in a trade down or at #31
This guy or Ruggs would do it for me.
