K'Lavon Chaisson - EDGE - LSU

Didn't see a thread on him. Thoughts? As much as we'd all love to get a stud WR it's no secret how much this regime emphasizes on building the trenches. Especially with Dee Ford having injury concerns.

My friend was just talking about him, I think taking him at 13 is to early.
Nice! Where is projected to go and who are other Edges that can be had later?

I think being at 13 means teams will salivate trading up to us to snag him. Keep an eye out for the Ravens. They got a lot of picks and they could use another player opposite of Judon.
I really like this guy. Him and Bosa would be lethal together for years to come.

Seems like a LONG shot that the Niners would take him though given the need for a #1 WR.

Yetur Gross-Matos out of PSU, some mocks I've actually seen him fall to the 2nd but I doubt it, should be taken late 20s I think, but he's a beast.

Awesome! Gotta check him out too. Just worried that Ford is somewhat fragile and we are lucky that Nick was able to play the whole season given what people's concerns about his durability. If we can get a pick (is third round pick possible) for Ford, then we can use that for other upgrade. This thing is wide open in terms of possibility though as we can make our mark in this draft with the 2 first round picks. I was just looking at our division and the QB we're up against and We got to get to the QB.

Awesome! Gotta check him out. Suddenly we can make our mark in this draft with the 2 first round picks we can move around for some specific players that we like.

Yup, going to fun and interesting wondering the way they decide to go but should def get some nice prospects.
I wouldn't mind getting this guy if the WR's that Shanny likes are gone by our #13 pick! We can't depend on Ford...

That would be a gift. Still would want a Dee Ford type speed rusher however. I doubt we nab both in the same draft, but if we do, we'd be set at edge rusher (theoretically) and prepared for the loss of Dee Ford or Ronald Blair.
I think he's a dark horse at 13. Stud ER who fits what they want. I wouldn't hate it

100% agree. If Ruggs and Jeudy aren't there at 13, Chaisson is at the top of my list, over Henderson, Brown, Kinlaw, or any of the o-line prospects. The pass rush in terms of sacks was not nearly as effective when Ford starting missing games. Chaisson is almost a Ford clone, and would provide great insurance next year if Ford misses any time this year. And as long as he develops and turns into the player I think he will, he would provide flexibility in the future if we decide to move on from Ford.

He'd be tempting at #31.
