He won't be there at 31

Yeah, probably not.

I was just reading about how he's considered one of the more "overrated" prospects in the draft, lol
I'm not sure if he belongs in the 1st round... or even early 2nd... just not completely sold.

Probably goes late 1st early 2nd.
This is a very weak edge class. Someone will gamble on the traits
Not sure why many aren't talking about this guy....He would be one helluva pick for us, especially with Dee Ford's impact to our Defense. Only problem is, Ford cannot stay healthy and he won't be a 3 down player for much longer, but the impact he brings to our Defense is downplayed. Chaisson should be on Lynch's radar if we stand pat at 13 and take over Ford after this season. Bold statement but, he reminds me of Aldon Smith, with a high character, and only 20 years of age.

I don't get the Aldon Smith comparison even though it's his comp on NFL.com. The best thing Smith had going for him is incredible length and using that length well to control OL. Chaisson is a great athlete but has below average length.
I actually like the idea of trading down a few spots and taking him. He's a speed rusher just like Ford

Agree with this - I'm fine picking him at 18 or later if none of the top OL, DL, or WRs is on the board. Chaisson + whichever tier 2 WR falls to 70 > Lamb at 13 in my opinion.
Not at 13, but would be good in a trade down. 16 should be safe. If he goes past 17 he could slide to 22.

He wouldn't make it past Atlanta & Dallas. If you watch his bend around the corner, you cannot teach that. Of course there are no guarantees in any round/pick, but the potential he shows along with his character and add in one of the best DL Coaches in the league in Kocurek who brings the best out of his players, the sky can be the limit. Without Buckner, and potentially Ford after next season, there is not much depth at Edge that can match what Ford brings opposite of Bosa. We have Blair/Taylor/Jones/Thomas/Hyder who can play any of the positions on the line, but neither of them are close to being explosive off the Edge. The main reason our Pass D was rated #1 was due to our dominant pass rush (Elite when Ford played vs. Good when he was hurt). We need to keep our DL in tact and add a fresh face in the mold of a potential Ford replacement...and to make life easier for Bosa & vice versa. Great teams are built from the trenches out, on both sides of the ball.

Exactly why I said 16 would be the safe spot to get him.....With Atlanta moving up for CJ Henderson.
