I guarantee Shanny doesn't like Ruiz. Not our kind of OL

Not saying we should use our first two picks, but between injury and lack of production we've got a lot of ??? On our WR group.
It's a great class and picking up 2 is a must.
Will also be pissed if we draft no OL, but based on our interviews/tracking that looks incredibly unlikely.
Just a little concerned our limited picks (at the moment) could deter us from double dipping in the WR pool.

Yeah, you should continue to invest in high value positions until you are solid there. Wideout is very important in the game today.Originally posted by genus49:Originally posted by CardinalGold:Any WR
Ok, that's a small exaggeration. But we already spent our 2020 third round pick on a WR (Sanders) who is not on the team, and a total of 6 picks in three drafts on WR. At some point you have to roll with the guys you drafted, and that means out of Pettis, Taylor, and Hurd we need someone step up to join Deebo as a top WR threat.
We need at least 1 CB, 2 OL, and 1 DT in this draft. If we don't get starting quality players at CB and OL out of this draft we are in a bind.
Ahhmm....no offense but you may want to look at the roster and not blindly worry about using draft capital on WRs.
Should we not have drafted Bosa cuz of all the DL picks?
Deebo and Bourne are legit the only two guys in our WR group who have proven any sort of consistency and it's not even anything to write home about with KB. Taylor and Hurd are coming off major injuries, Hurd never even played in a regular season. Pettis cannot be counted on after last year. James hasn't shown anything. Goodwin will be gone.
Do you have something against trying to get better?

Agreed, the trenches are always incredibly important in games - winning in this area on both sides of the ball gives you an excellent chance to win the game (especially when you have a playmaking QB like Garoppolo). That's why I'm a big fan of building them back up for this team.
On the DL, the middle is my biggest concern...I really like Jones & hoping he can stay healthy...the other guys in the middle (I hope they keep Armstead at DE mainly) to me are purely rotational pieces who only give you so much and I wouldn't want to count on them for an entire season as I feel they'd be exposed in games. If Kinlaw is somehow there at #13, you take him.
For the OL, RG & C are the biggest question marks going into this season (assuming Staley comes back at LT). Perhaps Brunskill will show he's the answer at RG but he needs some quality competition...I like what he did last year and his versatility. I also like Richburg at C when he's healthy as I feel he does a good job directing traffic and executing what's needed at C in this scheme. He's got to stay healthy, stay on the field...that was a tough break for him in that game vs. NO last year. Maybe they pick up a guy like the Michigan C, Riuz, in the 2nd after trading out of #31.
Wait...I couldn't imagine the 'Zone if the Niners went DL & OL with their first two picks. Meltdown central.
Ruiz won't be there in the 2nd..
