So who was telling me we were taking a receiver at 13 and Staley would never retire with 2 years left on his contract? And I said last year Buckner was gone. I'm taking receipts.

What they were ready to and what they actually did is 2 different things. Bottom line is they did not take the WR at 13th, and the rest of the world thought they would. Great misdirection from ShanaLynch.

I like the BULLY we just got in the 7th round. That linebacker disguised as a Hybrid WR/TE!
Fricken heat seeking missile that can also cover kicks and catch 50/50 balls in the redzone.

And yes, we lost Emmanuel Sanders, and people say we need to replace him with one of the elite WRs available in the draft. But I don't think that in KS offensive schemes, a WR is as important as perhaps it is for other teams. Last season, JG completed 329 passes, of these 102 were caught by TEs. Namely, Kittle with 85, Dwelley with 15, and Toilolo with 2. That's almost one third of passes thrown, caught by a TE. Of the remaining 226 passes caught, 74 were caught by RBs and an FB. This means that 53% of passes were caught by a Non WR. I don't know if its the same with other teams, but it seems to me that KS schemes people open, people with good hands, regardless of the position they play. Are we bereft of quality WRs without Sanders? I don't think so. Deebo is certainly going to get increased targets, and Bourne is a serious Red Zone threat. We have added a veteran Travis Benjamin, and we still have the side players like Pettis, Goodwin, James, Wilson, and Matthews. They know they have to step up their games, especially with the returns of Jalen Hurd and Trent Taylor. There must be a reason that KS and John Lynch kept those 2 on injured reserve, and I am excited to see what they can do. And if they decided they really needed another WR, there are a lot of decent WRs in FA right now. I can't believe that the top 5 WRs in the draft are significantly better then some of these FA WRs out there right now. So much better that they warrant a first round pick on. Because of all these reasons, I just don't see JL and KS drafting a WR with the 13th pick. Maybe with the 31st pick if they don't trade out of it.
If Kinlaw, Derrick Brown, or wishful thinking, Chase Young/Isiah Simmons were there at 13, I think they have to go with one of them. Good rushers don't always hit the Free Agency Market, and if they did, there is a big demand for them. Not so much for FA WR. The front office needs to go defence with this first pick. Just my 2 cents.
Very nice!!! Great call.

Lol can we bring a lawsuit against PFF?? It causes a few of our fans great harm with the tunnel vision it gives them to keep posting screenshots of semi-irrelevant stuff and claim it's gospel.

No worries,...whomever you're referring to will at any moment now and admit he was wrong.
Nothing wrong with being able to say you were wrong, right? It's just a forum.

He played better on the playoffs with an average grade of ~81-82 which may be what you're referencing.
"His Pro Football Focus grades for the playoff games ranged from above average (75.9 overall/66.1 pass blocking/75.7 in the divisional round) to high quality (86.3/85.2/84.0 in the NFC Championship and 84.6/89.1/78.6 in the Super Bowl)"

Welp I do have PFF premium and his final score is 81.3 overall which was tied for 7th overall (tied with Anthony Castonzo) ...So whatever anyone else says is just not true. It's the final grade of the yr, not just the playoffs.
If I knew how to upload pics in here (no more tiny pic) I would show you the grades of the top 20.
When healthy he's still a top 5 OT in the league. He's under contract thru 2021. That's all we know at this pt.
I usually just go to https://imgbb.com/ upload my screenshot/pics there and then post the link in here. Certainly not as convenient but still gets the job done.

That's all I got lol
lol sometimes i have to grab the link off what they post.
Props to Brunskill. No wonder they trust him over Person at G.
