Might sound crazy but I wouldn't be upset with another d-lineman in the 1st.
Still I like the OU and Alabama WRs more than the LSU guy.

Not sold on 49ers picking a WR with 13th Pick

I like Higgins but Ruggs' speed would be too much to pass up.
Exactly
the problem is even if we had HILL is the fact that Choke Artist Kyle hardly calls for this QB to throw the ball deep... so it really doesn't matter..
Kyle is an awesome play designer and a very good play caller from time to time, what he is not is a GAME PLANNER.. Bill Walsh was a great game planner and he knows how to attack defenses.. that's the difference between the two..
While Kyle can design plays to benefit certain players, Bill will find the D's weakness and attack that !!
Just look at how he attacked Dan Marino and also their defense in the Super Bowl..

I think we need to go D-line--Brown or Kinlaw-- with the first pick considering the losses there so far this offseason and the strength of this years WR class giving us a chance to get a starter at 31 or in the second.

I wouldn't be mad with Kinlaw at all. And if we get a good Tackle at 31 I won't be mad either. build from inside out. Good chance that 3 years from now the best WR won't even be one of the guys folks are in love with. gonna be a 2nd or 3rd round guy
exactly

Ugh. One OL with one of our picks I'd be fine with, but both? Even if he's protected all day, who's Jimmy throwing to if we're going OL x 2 and then nothing until the 5th?

Geez, it was a hypothetical and every one's losing it. I thought I made my preference clear.

We're absolutely taking a WR at #13 at this point. Deebo, Bourne and Benjamin is not going to cut it.

Did they also add in with the return of Hurd and Taylor I believe this is a solid group of wr's

Hurd best year = 0 yds.; back injury bad enough to keep him out of his rookie year
Taylor best year = 430 yds. 3 years ago; 645 career yds.; broken neck since then
Not exactly an NFL-proven pair of superior receivers

And yes, we lost Emmanuel Sanders, and people say we need to replace him with one of the elite WRs available in the draft. But I don't think that in KS offensive schemes, a WR is as important as perhaps it is for other teams. Last season, JG completed 329 passes, of these 102 were caught by TEs. Namely, Kittle with 85, Dwelley with 15, and Toilolo with 2. That's almost one third of passes thrown, caught by a TE. Of the remaining 226 passes caught, 74 were caught by RBs and an FB. This means that 53% of passes were caught by a Non WR. I don't know if its the same with other teams, but it seems to me that KS schemes people open, people with good hands, regardless of the position they play. Are we bereft of quality WRs without Sanders? I don't think so. Deebo is certainly going to get increased targets, and Bourne is a serious Red Zone threat. We have added a veteran Travis Benjamin, and we still have the side players like Pettis, Goodwin, James, Wilson, and Matthews. They know they have to step up their games, especially with the returns of Jalen Hurd and Trent Taylor. There must be a reason that KS and John Lynch kept those 2 on injured reserve, and I am excited to see what they can do. And if they decided they really needed another WR, there are a lot of decent WRs in FA right now. I can't believe that the top 5 WRs in the draft are significantly better then some of these FA WRs out there right now. So much better that they warrant a first round pick on. Because of all these reasons, I just don't see JL and KS drafting a WR with the 13th pick. Maybe with the 31st pick if they don't trade out of it.
If Kinlaw, Derrick Brown, or wishful thinking, Chase Young/Isiah Simmons were there at 13, I think they have to go with one of them. Good rushers don't always hit the Free Agency Market, and if they did, there is a big demand for them. Not so much for FA WR. The front office needs to go defence with this first pick. Just my 2 cents.

You can make a case for each position ( WR/DL/CB/OL) for our top 2 picks as a need. We need a 1 WR alomg with just too many question marks after Deebo. But I can also understand the case for the other 3 spots. So here is my solution..Would you guys be OK to trade down just a bit let's say from 13 to mid 20s plus second day picks? Also move down from 31 to early second round plus mid round picks? Sure you would miss out on the big 3 but can settle for the next available WR like Aiyuk/Mims then fill up those other glaring needs at CB/DL/OL? Too bad we missed out on Suh but I would like to get a vet or 2 to compete on that line and I think I'm OK with that. Then the roster positions will be set for awhile.

Both of those happening would be huuuuuge for the offense
