Trade up in the draft w/ Browns or Jets?

Damn the quarantine is getting to him. f**k that. Trading up with the browns would be good enough
Pick #13 = 1150 points

Pick #9 = 1350 points

All the picks the Niners have after #31 = about 65 points

I agree. I think Jets and Raiders go WR

lol.... gosh i hope not.... not in this deep of a WR draft.

I think trading up to 3 for Chase or Simmons would be baller as hell, at least your talking about a truly generational prospect.

Simmons is projected to be able to Dion Sanders TEs. If he can develop as a Zone Defender, the defense can be truly elite with the center of the field always being contested.

He is a Linebacker that can play slot cover CB or play Safety.

He was a tackle machine that gobbled up 100+ tackles last year

He had 8 sacks, and has an real world elite first step.

Plus he is a high character guy.

If we are going to trade up to 3....Take Simmons and know it was worth it.

The idea has been outlined in this thread already. The 31 would have to be included, with a second round pick coming back.

If we trade up, the only person worth trading up for is Okudah. There's a big drop off with the next best CB.

We can stay put at 13 and get any of the top 3 WR or any of the top OT.

Maybe but we aren't a rebuilding team.

This is also True..
No
Hell no. Niners have the second worst amount of draft capital this year. Trading up makes it even worse because you'd likely have to use future picks to move up and put the team in the same situation next year.

To move to #10 no future picks are required. All that is necessary is to swap #31 for the Browns' #41 pick. If Shanahan has one of the WRs ranked significantly higher that the other two, and all three are there at #10, I think you have to make the trade if the Browns are willing.

I don't want sloppy thirds and only have Lamb to choose from at #13 if Shanalynch is not super high on Lamb.

Keeping Sanders would have mitigated all of this but we desperately need a top flight WR now so gotta get their guy whoever it is. If Jeudy or Ruggs is selected between 1-9 definitely have to trade up to #10 if Shanalynch loves them both as the other will not be there at #13.

I agree with this. IF no WR is selected in the first 9 picks and Kyle has one of those guys clearly ahead of the others and thinks that guy is head and shoulders better than who we could land 3 picks later then go ahead and move up for your guy.

Now of course if Kyle likes guy #2 and #3 just a hair less then hang back and hope it works out.
