Wouldn't be opposed to him. At this point I think I'd like to see one if the big 3 WR at 13, trade back at 31 and grab someone like Gladney/Diggs and then with the 3rd grab someone like G/C Hennessy or OT/OG Bartche. Who knows how feasible that is lol

Given the way teams adjust to new things over the off-season, I wouldn't plan on being able to run again next season they way we did last year. We need the horsepower to be able to be more balanced when we really need it. Pick anyone of the top three or four WRs and compare their value to Andrew Thomas (the guy in the thread topic ) and ask yourself which is the best choice.
For me, I would be fine with trading back to Miami and grabbing Higgins or Jefferson, plus an extra second.
Exactly. Plan on us to throw the ball a lot more often this coming season. Defensive coordinators adjust very quickly and theres no guarantee that we're going to be as successful on the ground as we were last season. The passing game has to be better, and the pass protection must be better as well.

I've seen a lot of mocks where they're both gone by #31. Ha

Don't move on...we're COVID-bored over here. LOL
I really like Damien Lewis from LSU. I thought he was the best IOL on that LSU team. He killed it at the SB and stuffed Kinlaw. He's not an athletic freak but nether is Tomlinson and SF likes him. Early day 3 pick
Jonah Jackson OSU-he was amazing the SB. He's a top end pass-protector. He needs to improve at run-blocking but he's got all the tools. He's played every interior OL position. He's a late day 2 early day three guy.
Robert Hunt Louisiana- He's a OT that's gonna play OG at the next level. Dude pancakes everything in his way. He likes to hurt dudes. He might be a more gap/power dude, but so was Tomlinson coming out of college. He's a day 2/3 guy.
Netane Muti Fresno state-he could be the steal of the draft. He's a monster strong samoan and has great footwork. Dude would be amazing in this offense. He's dealt with injuries but reportedly is 💯. He will drop because of all the injuries BUT if he's good to go Day 1 starter. I could see Brunskill starting and once Muti is up to speed he would easily win the spot.
Those are a couple of the top of my head. There's some others and guy that are later rd OT that are OG at the next level because of length issues.

Lol I know. Then I see others that have them early-mid 2nd It's all wishful thinking on my part haha
If that's the case let's adjust to a few more trade backs nab Hennessy in the 2nd and then Bryce Hall in 3rd

You know, I'll be pinging you if we get out of the 1st round with extra picks and don't take an OL.

I was reading your post and i thought you're Mel Kiper there for a minute . I haven't had the time to see a lot of college balls the last couple of years and I'm dependent on my fellow webzone addicts when it comes to prospects. Great post as always NY!

Originally posted by eastcoast49ersfan:Sacks and QB hits don't tell the whole story. If your team can't run the ball and you play in more obvious pass rush situations, you'll have more sacks and QB hits. If you have to come from behind, you'll have more sacks and QB hits. Neither applies to the 49ers. We had the 2nd most rushing attempts, the 2nd most rushing yards, and the fourth fewest passing attempts.
The other factor is how quickly the QB gets rid of the ball, how they move in the pocket, etc. Garoppolo has a quick release and the 49ers did a good job of getting the ball out quickly to make up for having a mediocre OL. Compare that to a team like the Cowboys who make their QB look great because he has a clean pocket and forever to throw the ball.
We were 26th out of 32 teams in pass block win rate last year at 55%. That's not middling - that's bad. And that's with McGlinchey ranking 5th among OTs with a 93% win rate. The only team with more rushing yards than us (Ravens) had the #2 pass block win rate (69%).

BTW, you should post this in the Offensive Line thread. Great stuff.

Lol, I'd prefer DJ anyway there's a ton of solid prospects that can play inside. Those were only a couple off the top of my head.
