The tackles could all be gone by 11, with the Jets and Browns both having needs and sitting right there on the fringe of the top 10. What's interesting is how they're each bringing something different to the table. Becton's a freakish left-side type, with what one scout called "Jason Peters potential." Thomas is solid, and also projects to play on the left, but is unspectacular. Wills is sort of a prototype right tackle, who can swing left. And Wirfs is a very good athlete who everyone sees a little differently (some like him as a guard), and is probably a little more scheme-specific (he'd be best with a zone team) than the others.

Can someone just tell me what we're going to do at 13 already? Taking forever...

Honestly usually I have a decent idea. This yr I have no clue.

I still think they actually pick someone at 13 and move down at 31 (possibly twice) but who knows we all have opinions on that.

I almost miss knowing there's a 99% chance we're going to draft Nick Bosa. Haha.

But this is fun too. There's probably just a couple positions you could actually rule out here.

There's a very strong possibility all our T-to-G combos are gone, Jeudy is gone too...then what's the best GM move?

3 QBs, Young, Okudah, Simmons, 4 OTs = 10 players. If Derrick Brown and Jeudy are gone, we have our choice of Lamb, Ruggs, or Kinlaw. I doubt anyone wants to trade up if the tackles are gone so we're probably stuck picking one of them.

That's exactly how I see it unfolding too.

Then, what's the best choice for the team as a GM?

Guess that happens when you're not drafting top 5 lol.

I obviously have my preferred scenarios...who knows.

And I don't think that's a bad spot to be in. I prefer Kinlaw to Brown for us anyway and I like both remaining WRs.

We're drafting 13th not top 5, so not gonna get the cream of the crop most times.

Gotta wonder how many players they have with 1st rd grades?

Plus you never know who's going to move up and throw a monkey wrench into everything.

Pretty much, everything we've been discussing whether it's staying put at 13 or moving down it's all speculation. Moving down is a two way street. Teams in this draft might value those early day 3 picks because of the depth in this draft. So you might not get the value you want in order to move down.

If SF only has 15 or so 1st rd grades, it might not be worth moving down as well. Same can be true if they have like 20+ first rd grades on guys and are cool with taking less then ideal trade compensation to move down.

A lot of variables

It has been established that there appears to be 11 "*elite" prospects in this draft. Unless one of them drop we are in the same spot as the Colts were, which is why they had no issue trading a #1 for an established upper tier player.

*elite = Burrow, Tua, Herbert, Young, Okudah, Simmons, Brown, Wills, Wirfs, Becton, and/or Thomas

I couldn't agree more.

All that needs to happen is 2 of the these four teams to do something off script Jets: Raider (Ferrell over Allen), Browns, or Giants (Daniel Jones at 6) and one of those elite guys falls. Wouldn't bet against that.

No WRs classified as elite, figured Jeudy and Lamb would make that list.

If that's the case, then that means Isaiah Simmons probably has dropped too, and he would be damn hard to pass up IMO. So it would be either Simmons or Ruggs for me.

In that scenario Ruggs easily for me, though I don't think Jeudy is a lock to be the first WR taken. We're not perfect, but we have a good team. Ruggs' upside as an offensive player is basically unparalleled in this draft and with Kyle that's a huge upgrade for our offense: it makes Jimmy, Deebo, Kittle, the run game better... We score more it makes our defense better... Then I'd hope for Ruiz or Blacklock or a CB or a trade back from 31
If any dline potential impact player falls to 13, take him. Then go ruiz at 31. Is there a wr sleeper? Take 2.
