"When we first brought scouts in right after the Super Bowl we were kind of working off the old grading system," Lynch said. "But what helped was the grading system that they use in Denver, which kind of derived from one that was developed in New England."
One of Lynch's first hires was former Broncos college scouting director Adam Peters as 49ers vice president of player personnel. "I've always been someone who thinks you should listen to multiple opinions and we've been very collaborative. I believe in strong opinions. Someone once told me, 'Strong opinions, weakly held.' So are you open to different thoughts and someone makes you think? But ultimately someone's got to make decisions."
"I would say it varies year to year, but I would say our draft board is smaller than most," Caserio said. "We are trying to find players that we feel comfortable with on all levels that we would actually draft -- not that are going to get drafted.
"It's players that we would draft, that we would actually feel comfortable with in our program in some capacity."

Kyle has been a head coach for 3 yrs...you're projecting numbers with next to nothing to go off of with HIS team.
If Kittle was our Julio they wouldn't have went after OBJ, spend picks on Sanders, or go after Hooper...they clearly think there's targets to be had.

Second, the draft doesn't end after they select at 13. They have more picks including the 31st overall. Finally, this is a ridiculously deep WR draft. There's going to be a surplus of options for them after 13.

Anything Is possible regarding the draft. I just can't see Shanny and Lynch passing up the opportunity to draft one of the Elite receivers of this draft class. I believe that's why they didn't rush to re-sign Sanders too. Shanny probably licking his lips at the thought of drafting one of the top 3 receivers.

Agreed. It was one of their biggest weaknesses.
And the fact that they did nothing in FA for a stud O lineman or WR is a problem when it comes to the draft
