depends who's there. I'd say the drop off from WR1 to whatever their next pick is bigger than the drop off from OT4 and whatever the next tier is

Yes, that trend of locking onto their guy is well documented to date and must be factored in when trying to predict who they'll pick.
Who at 13 would be their guy?

it's not one... Maiocco says 1 or 2. So say two that they think may be there. Then add that there are some they don't expect to be there that might? We're picking at 13, not 4. That number is not logical.

Yeah. The 1 or 2 are probably players they feel could be there. Guys they really really want.

AKA we're drafting a OT in the first and a WR in the 2nd
I wouldn't rule out the opposite

Then all of a sudden we get the 13th and the draft pool is now tainted after 13.

"The 49ers will have plenty of options at different positions with the No. 13 overall pick," writes Maiocco. "If they love a player in that spot, they will undoubtedly make their selection. ... But if one or two targeted players are not there when it's the 49ers' turn to select in three weeks, they will almost assuredly look to bail out of No. 13. That would allow the 49ers to pick up more selections to take advantage of what is expected to be a deep draft at a number of different positions of need."

I refuse to relive this conversation again.
So yes honey, you are right. We can only get elite talent at 13 and as long as it's a "Bama boy"

We get it you want to draft a million players and you want Aiyuk...I think we can all move on.

Dude none of those moves are startable options...Fant is hot trash and will be forced to start. He's basically on a one yr deal. They have nothing at RT literally nothing.
Douglas is well known as a guy who loves the trenches. Gase has never drafted a WR early.
One of the top 4 OTs is gonna be there at 11
