I love Jeudy, but Andrew Thomas is an easy answer here. Tackles are infinitely more valuable than a WR.

This. Its mind boggling that Thomas was considered a top prospect for so much of the season and then some other guys blew up at the Combine and suddenly he's an afterthought. If he's sitting there for some reason at #13, you can snag your left tackle for years to come. No reason why they couldn't plug him in at guard for a year so you're not drafting a backup with your first pick.

I was going to post but i can't improve on PHX's .My only question is will he still be there? With 3 QBs going early, (maybe a 4th...there are half the AFC teams looking for a QB), 3, probably 4 WRs, with 3 or 4 OLs, a couple CBs, maybe a S, TE, 1-2 DTs, so somebody is going to be there, and QBs, WRs, DLs,/ OLs, CBs..could allow us to get him. It would be one helluva pick if he still was sitting there. Not only that, there could be a shiny WR there at same time, and we could move back one or 2 and still get Thomas (plus a pick in rd 2). Trade would have to be dependent on our still getting our OL.
I'd rather take Jeudy at 13 and Ruiz at 31 over Thomas at 13 and, say, Aiyuk at 31. We need help on the interior - Westerberg is a question given the injuries and our guard play was so so. Ruiz can play C or G.

Jeudy is just plug and play. While this is a deep WR class, once the big three are taken, everyone else has question marks. Sure, one or two of the rest of the field will emerge to be legit WRs but if we guess wrong, it's another Pettis situation.

Jeudy and Ruiz = two starters for 5+ years.

Thomas and WR 'X' = one guy sitting for 1-2 years or playing out of position and a question mark at WR.

All of this sounds great but you're assuming Ruiz is available at 31 and it appears there's a great chance that he's not.

Damien Lewis then (after a trade back)? I'm no OL expert. But we've seen Kyle seems to be confident in his ability to find lesser heralded players for his Guards. So I don't think Kyle will be too scared of Ruiz not being there (enough to where he feels he has to take OL at 13.)... that being said I'd probably take Thomas lol

He may not be. But we know the big three WRs will be gone by 31. I'd guess 2 of Mims, Jefferson and Aiyuk may also be gone by 31. I'd rather get my stud WR at 13 and then focus on IOL at 31 or in a trade back scenario. Maybe Ruiz is gone. But Cushenberry or Hunt will be there, as will 2-3 tackle prospects that rate as starter quality (Jones, Cleveland, Niang).

Jerry Jeudy + Ezra Cleveland

Second easiest decision next to drafting Nick Bosa.

I got a hunch that Ruiz will be there at #31. But, it probably doesn't matter since they're probably going to trade out of that spot.

Because we need a legit number one receiver. We have the running game we can draft to tackle in the second or third round when we trade back our second first. Or we can draft one next season. The truth is Jeudy, is clearly above the other top two receivers in route running. It's not even close. And route running transfers.

Jeudy and here are my reasons:

1. I'm trying to win the SB now
2. Staley can possibly play this and next year
3. There's been talk in the past that McG is our next LT and RT is what we would replace (easier)
4. While there is a "drop off" from the top 4 OT's in this draft, the second tier is considered very good and 1st round talents in any other draft.
5. WR's drop off after 3 is big. While nothing is for sure, you are looking at the top 3 as #1's. The rest, not necessarily.
6. It's easier to pay a proven tackle than it is to pay or find a proven WR

This is perfect. Agree on all points. Agree that one could draft WR at pick 13, and bpa between OT and CB at pick 31.

Also Brunkill can take over at RT. We also have Shon Coleman and Skule.

I flat out want the sexy pick. We haven't had a true #1 wr since Owens. If we really want to get back to tradition, a star receiver is part of that. Posters are saying that if we draft Thomas we'd be set for years but with a Jeudy, Debo combo you could say the same thing.

Wouldn't hate the Thomas pick though.

Not to mention I'm not a fan of making a player bounce around at multiple positions early in their careers. You can easily end up screwing up that players development like we did when trying to get Solomon Thomas onto the field because we used a first round pick on a position that was currently occupied by good players.

Give me Jeudy, unless Lynch and KS know for sure that Staley plans on retiring after 2020.

I'm pretty sure Kyle is yet to draft a G in his tenure as HC.
Attention whoring thread title needs to change.
