Create a custom 49ers jersey

Trading back makes sense but I don't think there will be demand for our pick unless a tackle is on the board. If I'm Denver, I'm not trading up to 13 for any of these WRs.

Ehhh.......

If i am the 49ers, I take the one of the game changing WRs, and if thats not on the board...it almost assuredly means a franchise LT is there.

I take the LT consider it a gift, and pick up a WR at 31.

Its highly unlikely the top 3 WRs and the top 3 tackles are gone, if that happens a top talent may have dropped, or maybe the 49ers can random the pick.

I hope the 49ers don't see anything that resembles a top 10 pick for another decade. There are some guys at tackle i really like that should be round 5 and 6 guys ( tackle from Auburn and Georgia) but they are not on par with some of the top tackles in this draft.

pre-injury Sanders was very effective even considering he came in at week 8.

What your describing is what we are going to see game in and game out if they don't fix the talent level the 49ers have at WR.

Cracked. And he was fully healthy then. And we ran our way to a Superbowl. Which further validates the point on targets for the X.

I'm not sure why you guys think we run a spread offense here.

If the player(s) they want isn't there they'll trade back. This isn't exactly a new drafting strategy.

The "one or two targeted players"...wonder who those two are at 13. But yeah, I just thought it would be funny if they traded and just blew up all these philosophical debates on WR vs. T/G.

We don't know, or at least I don't, if all three OTs and all three WRs fit what Kyle wants in terms of skill set. Maybe of the three OTs, only one fits what Kyle wants. Same for the WRs.

It's been fun debating and trying to guess what they'll do, but in the end we're all going to be wrong.

I was just reading this thread and thinking why does anyone assume either of these guys will even be available by 13?

I'm already laughing at the idea they may just trade out or draft a CB or IDT.

we really don't.

I love Ruggs, but Shanny might look at him and think, Pettis 2.0....nope...no way.....

Tackles is the most concerning, we know we need top tier mobility. That is something the top of this draft has more so then most years. We seldom get this many blue chip tackles that can really move in space.

Huh? Where are you pulling that comparison from?

That's so true.

Kyle might like Ruggs and could use his decoy speed like Goodwin to help open up things underneath but think, he now has the shortest starting WR unit in the NFL and leaves no room for error for Garoppolo.

Kyle might love Jeudy but he just saw an "elite separation" receiver in Pettis become useless at the NFL level and realize there's far more to being a receiver than that skill set.

He might love Lamb but think RAC is already a redundant skill set he has and that's better at the Z and Deebo has that on lock down.

We just don't know. He probably wants a guy at 13 who has it all to help compliment Kittle and Deebo.

I mean... I think that's expected and I'd agree. If your guy(s) are not there and you can get good value trading down, by all means. Just a question of who those guys are. They probably have 2 or 3 that they think could be there. Then there are others that they don't expect to be there. So yeah, I'd rather trade down than take the 4th OT or Kinlaw. Probably even Henderson who I like a lot.

I may be wrong but I'd be ok if we didn't care for one or even two of the top WR's. I'm going to assume we at least like one (likely Jeudy). I'm going to guess maybe 2 of the OT's are options (Wills maybe Becton?). They may not expect Okudah, Simmons, Young. One (not Young) could possibly slip?

But say Jeudy and Wills are gone, So are Brown, Okudah, and Simmons. If they are not in love with Lamb or Ruggs and trade down, it makes sense. I won't even get started again about the 4th OT crowd.

I'll throw that LT out there and sell it to the highest bidder...TB/Miami/Jags would love one

I am just saying.... We don't know what Shanny thinks.

I love Ruggs and think he is the next coming of Alvin Harper, with better hands and better vision.....

I am just agreeing with THL
