Just Curious. If the following players all miraculously dropped to 13, who would you pick?

If there is someone not on the list , who would you pick over all of them?
We have a similar thread and my answer is the same for any in the future. Easily Okudah
Okudah will always win.

Sorry. Thread is it?
Simmons
Tough because Simmons would be such a game changer and so valuable against divisional QBs. And Wirfs is really ideal if Staley is back because he can play guard. Has tremendous immediate and long term value. But has to be Okudah. Position of need and has the chance to shutdown a side of the the field. Sherman is losing a step, but if he is the corner you have to pick on, thats a huge advantage. Not to mention, giving the pass rush more time to collapse on the QB. Okudah might be the best way to improve the secondary and make up for Bucker.
Okudah, Simmons, Jeudy/Brown, Wirfs

that order. just torn on Jeudy vs Brown

Yeah, Okudah and Wirfs seem to make the most immediate sense. However, a guy like Simmons could be a DW (defensive weapon). Skilled at playing slot corner, safety, LB and edge rusher, he could have an effect on defense that has never been seen. The Niners would be able to disguise coverages and blitzes. Can you imagine O-Coordinator's headaches?

Simmons and its not even close in my mind.

Simmons is a generational type player, there is only one of him in the entire NFL. A little like Brian Ulacher in what he gives the defense the ability to do.

He is a LB, that was both a gifted pass rusher, and could cover like a CB.

Absolute X factor, and i think he is a player that defenses are going to have find him on the field before they run a play.

Watch the tape on him.

He can fill the hole from FS or SS like a Ronnie Lott.

He can run side line to side line and Spy the QB.

He can hold down an entire weak side edge on a naked bootleg, or miss direction run.

He can Blitz from the Safety position like Ed Reed.

He can Blitz from the weak side or Cover the TE from the strong side.

He can play Nickel Back and cover WRs in space.

On top of all that, he is a cruise missile that finds the ball.

I would take him 100 out of 100 times. Chase YOUNG.... is the only player in this draft that might rival him.

Interesting take. Don't disagree with you at all, but who would be the odd man out of the starters in the LB corps or Secondary if they took him?

I'd keep him on the field and rotate Tartt, K'Waun Williams and Kwon Alexander
Also, Simmons may not be out of the question. If he dropped to 6th, a potential trade with the Chargers that includes our 13th and 31st for their 6th and 37th maybe with another later pick might get him and keep our 2nd pick close to what we wanted at 31.

LOL if we traded 13 & 31 to Minny for 22 & 25 what would you do as a fan? My guess is, you wouldn't be happy. And that's pick 13 that has a ton of value. Now imagine the Chargers fan if they did that at 6.

No chance of that. We would have to include alot more to move up that far. Probably a future 1st as well.
