There are really only a few positions I can say for sure that we will draft. WR, CB/DB, IOL, and probably DT. I will add TE to that list. With Celek gone, the cupboard is woefully under stocked. Kittle is the alpha and Dwelley is a fine #2, but that is it. I have to imagine the team will spend a mid to late round pick on a guy. Who you got?

I think Kyle can make that kid from VA tech into a match up nightmare like Juice and he doesnt look like he has a damn piano on his back like that wasted Lynch pick TE we took from his alma mater

Strengths
Height and length create matchup issues in the red areaCan release into routes from a variety of alignmentsStrides into routes like a big receiverCapable of attacking all three levels effectivelyCrisp breaks with tight turns underneathCan create route leverage and defeat coverage leverageAble to extend the high-point and play over safetiesPlucks it away from body to protect it from hand rakesGood focus to make the challenging catchBody control for necessary adjustments downfield
Weaknesses
Carries thin limbs on a lean frameRole is a little limited as a big slotNot a very fiery competitor as a run blockerDoesn't do much with his block once he gets it centeredLeverage is usually missing at the point of attackInconsistent dealing with contested catchesAllowed safeties to body and annoy him at timesRed-zone release was too predictable in 2019

Brycen Hopkins is my favorite mid 3rd to mid 4th
If we wait until 5th or so Devin Asiasi
If we wait until 7th Mitchell Wilcox
As much as I love Hopkins the value is in Asiasi

Favorite TE and a good fit for the 49ers can be different. I like Harrison Bryant but...
I think Thad Moss could be a nice pickup. Not sure he has the best value as far as where I see him in rankings and mocks. But TEs are notoriously slow to adapt to the NFL game. What Moss does best should translate well. He is one of the better blockers in the draft and he might have the best hands for contested catches in the draft class. Not sure what your expectations for a late round rookie TE would be but I doubt KS is specifically drawing up plays for said player. More looking for a great inline and downfield blocker and I guy that can move the chains on third or goal line passing downs. Moss isn't going to wow you with routes or YAC. Not a Kittle clone at all, but could quickly be a solid #2 TE.

Mine would be
1) Dalton Keene-VaTech- could be a poor man's version of Kittle. Used mostly as a blocker and snuck out occasionally to make a big catch. Under utilized but has the athleticism to be a great #2.
2) Colby Pakinson-Standford-not much of a blocker but good size to create mismatches
3) Adam Trautman-Dayton-good small school project with some athleticism.
4) Thadeus Moss-LSU-little on the shorter side but one of the best blockers out of this TE class

Dalton Keene is a TE prospect in the 2020 draft class out of Virginia Tech.

He posted an elite #RAS with okay size, great speed, great explosiveness, great agility at the TE position.https://t.co/sSlMhDe9tN pic.twitter.com/O5xo77TldD

Yep posted in another thread about this guy a couple of weeks ago. He's got Juice type versatility. Dudes a workhouse with strong work ethic. He's a natural fit for what Lynch and Kyle look for in football players. Pretty sure the team has met with him as well.

Isn't "asi asi" Spanish for "so-so"?
