Option A :
13-Ruggs
31- OT(Cleveland)

Option B: trade down with Pats at 23 + 3 3rds + 1 4th
23- Futlon/Mims/Matos/Jefferson
31-Aiyuk/Reagor/ Cleveland/Madubuike
Fill in the blanks on the rest
3rd-Gibson
3rd-OG
3rd-
3rd-
4th-
OR: Trade up to second with your 2 3rd- so now you have
23
31
2nd rounder
3rd
4th

Plenty of excellent players and you still have 2 first rounders. You can trade a pick or 2 for a young vet player
that fits us. You can easily move up and down if we have the ammo. Trade down!

I like option B a lot. Would take Jefferson in that spot.
The way I see it, the Niners trading back with both 1st rounders (barring an exceptional player at either spot) provides more picks during the 2 - 4 rounds and more bodies during camp to find that gem(s) and create depth. Trading away players is tough but in order to get cap relief AND younger and hopefully more talented players, business must be conducted. The people who run the organization are going to agree to do what they feel is important to keep the team competitive
With plans to move out back from 13, there is a bidding war for the last OT from the top 4. Denver is calling, Miami is calling. Tampa Bay has eyes on the OT as well, but knows they player will be gone when we trade out, so they make the move up 1 spot. They also have strong interest in RB Jonathan Taylor but are not convinced he will be there at 45. Need to get Brady an elite OT and RB. So the deal is made.

13 and 31 to TB for 14, 45, 76 and OJ Howard.

We trade 14 to Minnesota for 25, 58, 105. They are looking for the final WR of the big 3 and have a pick at 22 to address prime needs on the defensive line. Having 2 firsts and 2 thirds gives them some capital to selectively move up and replace Stephon Diggs.

We end up with:
25
45
58
76
105
and OJ Howard.

I think this is what happens. At #13, remember this is the 9th best NON QB player in the draft. (Ok, i understand that 4 QBs go in op 13 picks is s stretch, but....)

If one of top 3 WRs , KInlaw (DT) and Thomas (OT) are all there...kyle would make a case for the WR, but i bet JL makes a case for OT//DT. And i would bet he takes Thomas in that scenario, altho Kinlaw would be a great pick also. We have way more talent on DL than OL. OL we need the entire IOL. Take Thomas and have him play OG for a couple yr.

The thing none of us know is how strongly JL/KS feel about DT/OT/#1 WR and who is available at that time. That one unknown is what makes our picking so difficult.
In Lynch we trust. Works for me. Just shows me the Niners are looking to make big moves to improve the team now and for the future, just like the DeFo trade.
I just get the feeling that the top three receivers and top four tackles are gone. Hope I'm wrong but we'll have a choice between Kinlaw or a trade back at #13. Trade back if so.

Yep. They aren't passing on any of those three, or they're getting a Kings ransom for that pick. Either way, I'm good

We would likely have offers but that won't net you a Kings ransom.

Beg to differ if best EDGE rusher, best corner, or best all-around defensive player still on the board. Gonna command more than if it's Henderson or Kinlaw, gonna be way more interest. Maybe Kings ransom was a little over the top.

yea but with CLE also looking to move down. if one of them three you are talking about makes it to 10 teams would likely send them their "ransom"
I think we should take Jalen Hurts at 31 to get the 5th year option. He's a perfect fit for what Shanny wants to run and he has wheels. Play action would be crazy. Let him set and learn for a year. Also Mullens May leave to free agency next year.

Even though they signed Conklin, IMO they are going Wirfs, Wills, or Thomas. They are completely loaded with offensive weapons, they need to protect Mayfield to see if can actually do something.

If you're Lynch, the more options, the better. Standing pat isn't going to get enough top talent, so I look for at least one trade. If Kinlaw or Thomas is there at #13, they'd be hard to pass up. That said, Lynch will get a lot more in return by trading #13 than #31. Trading both is definitely possible, depending on who's willing to trade & how much they'll give up.
