Just look at the history with this regime. They always draft trench players in the first round.

If every OT is gone besides Mekhi Becton (not a scheme fit), and they're unable to trade down. Then in this case, I can see them reluctantly picking a wide receiver. Which they probably don't even want.

I think both Wills and Thomas fit what they like to do on the line so I hope so.

I just get the feeling that the top three receivers and top four tackles are gone. Hope I'm wrong but we'll have a choice between Kinlaw or a trade back at #13. Trade back if so.

if thats the case.

3 WR
4 OT
3 QB

Young
Simmons
Okudah one has to fall right?

Brown as well. If we stay at #13, there is just no way we don't walk away with a great player. I wouldn't opposed to moving back with Denver at #15 if some weird stuff happens in the top 12 picks. After 15 the talent drops off quite a bit and the difference between 15 and 25 is all position and style preference imo.

Here is what I've been thinking along with the rest of the trade down group. Here is what I've been playing around
Option A :
13-Ruggs
31- OT(Cleveland)

Option B: trade down with Pats at 23 + 3 3rds + 1 4th
23- Futlon/Mims/Matos/Jefferson
31-Aiyuk/Reagor/ Cleveland/Madubuike
Fill in the blanks on the rest
3rd-Gibson
3rd-OG
3rd-
3rd-
4th-
OR: Trade up to second with your 2 3rd- so now you have
23
31
2nd rounder
3rd
4th

Plenty of excellent players and you still have 2 first rounders. You can trade a pick or 2 for a young vet player
that fits us. You can easily move up and down if we have the ammo. Trade down!

I like option B a lot. Would take Jefferson in that spot.

I know right. And Daniel Jeremiah tweeted some other vets are available for trade this time around. The usual suspects for rumors..Ngakou, Adams, OBJ. I'm sure Lynch have been monitoring and fielding calls from those teams. He also made some of his players available for trade to shed salary in case we strike a deal maybe? Honestly, this is wide open with speculation and misdirections this time of the year and its pretty exciting and suspenseful if you ask me
In any other year there isn't a ton of value lost between the 13 pick and the back end of the first round. There are usually wildly different grades between each team for the different players available. This year is different though. For example Corey Davis went number 5 in 2017. There are probably 4 different receivers that easily grade out ahead of Davis in this draft. And the front end is deep at QB and OT as well. This year's number 13 has much more value than a typical draft year. I hope coach and Lynch see it the same way and are prepared to make a pick at 13 if they don't get a sweet deal.
For the way this team is constructed for now and the foreseaable future.....

two first round picks > a bunch of day 2 picks

I dont know that I have ever been more opposed to what a lot of fellow Niner fans are suggesting we do with the picks.

Where would Wills play? I don't think he could play guard and hes probably just a RT at the next level and I doubt they want MM to be our long term LT.

To me... We either draft Thomas or Wirfs (as a guard) or no OL at 13 period.
