I'd take Taylor as a developmental OT on the practice squad. The movement ability is there, he's got experience, give him a year or two to work on his technique, might have something.
As far as a developmental OT he's a gem... needs to get stronger and get some NFL coaching, worst case he's a backup you can play in our system.

well draft is finished and the 49er basically trade Buckner for Javon Kinlaw.
Sanders for Brandon Aiyuk
Staley for Williams
add a 5th round OL, a back up TE ,and a 7th round WR that's not fast.
How is the team better today then they where last year?
Is Kinlaw better then Buckner?
Is Aiyuk better then Sanders ?
Is Williams for Staley a wash?
Will the 5th, 6th , or 7th rounder play??
Is trading Matt Breida going to help the team?

How much does Kinlaw cost? And Aiyuk? Who actually will be better than Sanders

And let's not act like we didnt lose those players regardless of who we drafted. Would you rather we not try to replace what we lost in Buckner, Sanders, etc..?

Exactly. In a world with no cap, things would very different. Lol

So let's see here,
Kinlaw for Buckner at 20million dollar savings
Aiyuk for sanders 10years younger and 10mill less a year(exact #?)
Williams for Staley 4 years younger and not retiring
AN o lineman that provides for additional depth along a thin group
And a 6th and seventh rounder that probably won't make opening roster
Yes I would say they improved

Plus...
Saved 4million a year getting rid of Goodwin
And 2-3 mill a year losing Brieda, yes again o would call that extremely successful draft weekend

Sanders wanted too much money, was 31, and had the right to go elsewhere. Aiyuk will be better, just not right away. But, maybe he will.
Buckner wanted Aaron Donald money (Clowney did too -- notice nobody has given it to him). Can't keep everyone and it I think Kinlaw will replace his production eventually.
Williams is an upgrade over last year's Staley. Did you read Joe's letter. He has a degenerative neck condition and he did not want to risk not being there for his kids if he played one more year. It is his right and, dare I say it duty, to retire for his family. He gave his body for this franchise for 13 years and in 5 years should be putting on a gold jacket
Trading Breida helped the team -- we got a 5th for an UDFA. We have Mostert, Coleman, Jet, and Wilson still. Plus, Kyle might find another gem UDFA as there are a few out there
The last 3 guys drafted are perfect for this team. A nasty college tackle that will be used as a developmental guard, our IOL was a weakness. A blocking TE to replace Tiololo (who had the right to sign elsewhere as a FA) who might surprise as a receiver, and a guy in Jennings that fits exactly what Kyle has had (Garcon, Sanu) and has wanted (Hurd). Jennings might wind up being the steal of the draft based on his production. It sounds like Hurd's back is way worse than has been let out. Hurd and Jennings were teammates at Tenn so no doubt Jennings' film (have you seen this guy block?) popped out when they were scouting Hurd last year

So you worried about contracts and are happy with losing super bowl? You don't care if the team is better at all as long as the cap is ok and cost are down?
That is what it sound like your saying to me?
