Grade 49ers 1st Round in the 2020 Draft!

Grade 49ers 1st Round in the 2020 Draft!

Dude we did well. B plus for the first round easily.

Filled one of our 4 needs with the best talent available in a trade down. Then turned around and got another need filled by trading up and- using what we gained- for said trade up. And Aiyuk could be considered the best talent available as well for a position of need when we drafted him imo.

Rest of the draft might be a little iffy but shanny/lynch has been pulling off miracles- imo- in later rounds since they have been here.

Im pretty happy.

I'll give it a C. Curious if they tried to trade back out of 31 and again from 14.

I doubt they needed to trade up from 31. I for sure thought Ruiz would fall there, but felt once they passed on a wr that may be the play.

Kinlaw and tHat knee could be worrisome.

Just see a lot of holes that need to be filled still
Could the Niners trade Ford and pick up an early 2nd round pick? Maybe Ford for a player + a pick. I also think Goodwin is going to be traded sometime during this draft. Breida being traded is also still a possibility.

Oddly enough, I see 2 holes filled and not many left. OL with one of the later picks.
I give it a solid A. Buckner was great but he wasn't a natural fit at the 3 tech and was gonna cost 21 million. We trade him for the best 3 tech in the draft and someone who's gonna cost 4 million. Not a fan of the trade up we made but it is what it is. BA may not have been rated high but that blame is on the atrocity that was playing QB for ASU. Thrilled about this draft.
Solid D+

We didn't have a hole on the DL. We still need 2 OL, need a CB badly. Need a WR badly. Unless they're trading up I don't see another starter being drafted
D+. Kinlaw has arthritis and Aiyuk is Aiyuk
Normally I'd be skeptical of the Aiyuk pick since he's just like Deebo and you want someone who can run deeper routes paired with Deebo. But because it's Shanny making the pick nah. A+ draft. We replaced Buckner and got another weapon.
I don't understand the because it's Shanny making the pick we good mantra?

Same guy that wanted Pettis who we traded up to get.
A, we got our Buckner and Emmanuel sanders for a fraction of the price.

Agree but that would make it a B- for me since Buck and Sanders are proven vets. We still don't know what we have with these guys until they play.

We had a hole on the D line after Buckner went.

We need one O lineman, where he should play depends on where they see Brunskill.

We don't need a receiver badly, maybe not at all. Hurd should play this season if any games are played, and Taylor.

I agree it is depth from here on in for us. How many teams draft more than 2 starters in a draft, especially a team with a roster as strong as ours?

Agree 100%, think the trade up was too costly and not necessary. Be interested to see where Mims and Pittman go today, personally liked them better.
