With 3 draft pick left, the Niners need upgrades and not just depth

It seems as if the Niners replaced our biggest offseason losses in Buckner, Sanders, and Person. They swapped Joe Walker for Elijah Lee, Hyder for Zettell and haven't replaced Toilolo yet. However, some people forget that they went to the Super Bowl with 14 players on IR and out of those 14 only Celek won't be back for sure. (Goodwin is technically back for now, and Moore is currently unsigned). That leaves us with 62 players (not counting the camp fodder) The only possible way I could see any of tomorrow's draft picks making the 53 would be if they played OL, TE, LB, Edge, or SS. If not, the seem like they may be destined for the practice squad.

They have 9 WRs, you still think they need one more? I

Biadiaz the Center from Wisconsin is still there.

Upgrade availability, so many injuries last year

Well...initial thoughts...

• Obviously, Trent Williams takes over the starting LT position with Slaley retiring
• Brunskill appears to be a strong candidate for the starting RG position
• DJ Jones will probably start over Kinlaw at DT, at least for the first half of 2020
• CB Harris will be ahead of D Johnson on the depth chart. The team is very high on him

As far as upgrades are concerned, the team could definitely use another developmental CB, TE, and OG/C. Let us keep in mind that the Niners' offensive system, with the zone blocking scheme, values athleticism and movement ability over sheer strength and girth....so.,,,there could be some OG/C prospects available late in the draft that fit that scheme.

Safety also since Tartt is a free agent and 49ers still have a lot of guys to sign next year.

I am not sure. They can resign him, or maybe move sherman there.

Lamar Jackson could be an upgrade at CB
