The Ones That Got Away

For me, there are a few standouts:

Jaylon Johnson, CB
My number one CB target. Didn't expect him to get major playing time in year one, but would open up the draft for us big time next year.

Bryce Hall, CB
While I like the player, I'm not nearly as bummed about missing the player (like Johnson), so much as I am about the manner in which it happened. I woke up early to see if there is any early trade action to get the niners in the mix, especially with a player like Hall dropping. I finally gave up hope and decided to take my dogs for a walk. Literally, the moment I get back and sit on couch, the niners have traded and are on the clock! Holy s**t, were getting Bryce Hall, LFG!!!! Wait, who the @#$& is Colton Mcs**tvitz?!??

Bryan Edwards, WR
This takes the cake for me. The number one heartbreak, the one that got away. Dude had a <18 breakout age, and is going to be a stud in the NFL. This one, I think, is going to hurt for a long time.

Can't believe they chose that scrub Ambry Thomas over these DBs...

And what hurts the most is the Bryan Edwards will flourish with the Raiders of all teams.
Shoulda kept Buckner...

Shoulda drafted CD Lamb...

Shoulda drafted a Top CB at 29 instead of trading up...

Careful....90% of the posters will call you stupid for criticizing the organization. The organization can do no wrong.

I agree, they should've kept Buckner and drafted Lamb. Drafting Kinlaw looked like a money saving move.

If you keep Buckner you have no shot at Lamb.

Can't do both. I thought the team should've traded down further and then take a WR and Winfield Jr in the 1st round.

I always wonder what would have happened if Chip Kelly got to draft Dak Prescott.

Not much for Chip. His offense was fully exposed by the time he got to SF. There was nothing saving him.

I am ashamed to admit that I thought the Chip Kelly offense was the right offense to bring out the best in Kap

Well...we'd have Dak Prescott during some pretty lean years, though.

I too wish the team could have drafted a bunch of players with picks they didn't have.

I was a big fan of Chip coming out of Oregon. I thought he was the next Shanahan and would continue to evolve his offense.

Unfortunately, by the time he got to SF, he was completely exposed. His offense never evolved, and the entire league knew his playbook had about 5 passing plays and 1 running play. The tempo advantage was counterproductive at the NFL level because of roster limitations and NFL rules/officiating.

I remember almost throwing my remote through my TV every time Chip dialed up inside zone out of the gun. The guy literally had 1 run play.
