Nice thread. This unit will be front and center for an upgrade next year.

I'd bet we go Edge Rusher first next year.

I'd be good with that, good CB's will be around in rounds 2 and 4.
I can go with that too!

Do whatever it takes to get Stingley.

As close to a lock future hall of famer at CB I've ever seen in college.

That will be 2022 when he's eligible to declare

Yeah I know. I just want him. Acquire an extra 1st rounder next year so have two in 2022. Pipe dream but I'm a dreamer.
wait doesn't the conversation begin and end with Stingley?
Edit~SOB! That kid is going to be a sophomore isn't he? That's just nuts.

I made the same mistake. Shocking isn't it?
I just want someone who can cover I don't care how tall they are.
Isn't E-man like 5-11" ?

Well everything EXCEPT tanking. Perhaps trade out of a high draft pick for an extra 1st rounder in 2022.

As good as Richard Sherman has been for the 49ers, I wouldn't invest big money in keeping him or Tartt. Given the big money that's going to be needed for the offensive stars in the next 3 years (Kittle, *Williams, Garoppolo, *Juice), they may have to go young in the secondary.

Who are the top safety prospects?
Get 2-3 of these guys
Man if we could draft a db thats decent id be happy. Good CBs ate hard to find
Shaun Wade was my first round pick this year before officially going back to school, and he's my first round pick next year, and I don't expect it to change. I like Makuamu if he makes it to the second, and I like the Oregon pair for mid round picks. Only safety I've watched this far is Hamsah Nasirildeen, who I really like, but I think I'd rather extend Tartt and spend capital elsewhere
After going through the "top 15" my very early list looks like....

1. Patrick Surtain, Alabama
2. Israel Mukuama, South Carolina
3. Shaun Wade, Ohio St.
4. Marco Wilson, Florida
5. Adrian Frye, Texas Tech
6. Mike Hampton, USF
7. Chase Lucas, ASU
8. Dicaprio Bootle, Nebraska
9.Caleb Farley, Va Tech
10. Paulson Adebo, Standford

the following 5 were incomplete since I couldn't find anything on them.

Tyson Campbell, Georgia
Josh Jobe, Alabama
Terry Dean, Florida
Jalyn Armour-Davis, Alabama
Josh Thompson, Texas.

Curious to see where they stand come draft time.
Everyone sleeping on Jack Jones outta ASU. Herm Edwards coaching up this redemption story. Made a dumb mistake and now will fall a bit in next years draft over it. But man he was one of my guys his freshmen year.

It falls in our favor that the corners are big next year cuz that's what we look for in corners in the defense we run.. That's IF we keep the same defense and if saleh stays as coordinator

Spoiler alert, they won´t draft CBs with high picks.
They don ´t value the position.
It will always be the trenches or playmakers for Kyle in the early rounds.
As for Stingley JR, I guess we could have a chance if we tank in 2021.
Best college CB I see in a long, long, time.
