Farley has the most potential to have the highest ceiling while Surtain has a low floor but his ceiling isn't very high at all.
Oh I think Farley is the clear cut CB1 for me. Surtain is like every bama kid, he's pro-ready but what you see if what you get (only he's gonna go against better competition) I'm not taking him at 12 (hopefully Dallas does).
I think one of my favorite CBs is Elijah Molden. He's not gonna be a true outside guy, he's just a damn good football player and a elite slot DB. I like Newsome and Samuel as well (for top 50 picks).
Keith Taylor is a guy that looks like he could do well in the slot. To me Shaun Wade is intriguing as far a slot guy. He clearly showed this year he can't be a boundary corner but he was very good in that nickle/safety role. I wouldn't be surprised if a team takes Wade and turns him into a Jimmie Ward type player.

If we draft Wade over Molden I might be sick

Imo, this is a very good DB group - could easily list a lot more names. I really really like the top 10ish safeties too.
Wonder if any of them are there with that comp pick we have at the end of the third...

There's no way Wade goes in the draft before Molden. I'm just saying he is intriguing cause he went from a top prospect playing nickle to being this horrendous Cornerback playing the boundary. I'm sure not having Chase Young rush the passer also had something to do with him looking good as a nickle corner and now a trash outside corner.

I think Wade will be drafted to player safety in the Minkah Fitzpatrick, albeit the very poor man's version. I just think he's simply not a good athlete, and he can't play with his back to the QB.
Horn I think is scheme versatile and would be an excellent addition the the niners. His "grabbiness" is less "oh s**t, I got beat!" and more "oh s**t, I'mma beat yo ass!"

Maybe we can trade back with our buddy Martin Mayhew?
WASH
12th pick
SF
19th pick
4th rounder
2022 2nd rounder
Then at 19 go Slater or CB. I like Tyson Cambell from Georgia.

49ers might be looking at overhauling the CB position.
Bump this thread up. With the FA looking like it's wrapping up, its becoming clear that we'll be adding a couple in the secondary It's time to make extensive conversation on this group. Who are some of the CBs and Safeties that fits our system that you guys like. In day 2 and 3?

One of the issues with this is that we don't actually know what our system is!
I think Kyle has always set the parameters though, so I doubt it'll change drastically.

Any opinions on Stanford guy Paulsen Adebo ? Read that he's fallen down the prospects board something serious this season, not sure why. Tape looks pretty good, although I have not finished watching it.

Agreed. I'm thinking we draft one on day 2 and another on day 3.

Is Adebo still draft eligible? I don't see him on the top ten list and I see him as a beast in our system. Pro day numbers were great, faster than I thought.
Maybe I missed something, he is in my top 5.

He is, ya. Opted out so not much buzz in the media on him. I only unfairly hold him back in my mind because I thought Quentin Meeks was gonna be special going into his last year.
