Anyways, let's focus on improving the pass protection unit no matter the QB in here.

You should talk. It's always about the pass rush with you. Geez just for once think about our pass blocking.

News: USC star offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker (@ALIJAHVT) is leaving school for the NFL draft, he tells @YahooSports. He projects as one of the draft's elite linemen and a potential first-round pick. Details: https://t.co/Hz6d2sCyxK

Would be an incredible pick for the Niners. Love his versatility.

The guard class doesn't look very strong this year. It's pretty much Wyatt Davis and then a huge gap. If we extend Williams, we won't be looking for a tackle. Say what you want about McGlinchey but he aint going anywhere.
Someone will probably reach and take Wyatt Davis early on since the position is weak this year. In regards to the center class, it looks like Creed Humphrey is by far the #1 prospect at the position. The problem is that he isn't worth a top 25 selection.
I'd consider Wyatt Davis in the first but more than likely it's going to be a CB in the first and a OG/C in the second. I'd be fine with Surtain in the first and Humphrey in the second.

I think Creed Humphrey is a Shanahan guy. He gets to the linebacker level in the run game and he has a nasty streak. He finishes blocks through the ground. good pass blocking too. He passes off blocks very well. This is going to be the guy we take if they go OL.

If Wyatt Davis is there for the 49ers when their selection comes up, you take him and start popping bottles of your best champagne 🍾. Outside of Lawrence, there isn't a better more tailored made player with a first round grade for the 49ers then him. If he's there then that becomes a very easy pick to make. Davis takes our offense to another level imo.Originally posted by HarbaughzDeep:The guard class doesn't look very strong this year. It's pretty much Wyatt Davis and then a huge gap. I highly doubt SF drafts a CB in the first. They run a s**t ton of zone (70% in some sort of zone shell).
You're not paying top dollar or draft compensation for a zone mainly DB. Most CB drafting high are man corners.
I could see an edge rusher before a CB depending on what happens with Ford.

That may or may not happen. Still doesn't change the fact that I said Humphrey in the second round.

wut?
Wyatt Davis at 15? He's a good prospect but he's not a game changing player and doesn't play an impactful position.

Hey man too each their own...I don't see him as a top 50 pick right now.

Im half way with you. I don't think the position value of a Center is worth a first rounder. However, some team is going to pick him this year in the first probably. I'd be comfortable taking Humphrey in the 40th-55th range. He's REALLY good.
