2021 OL prospects

I wonder if he could be there in the second now and be a guy like Elgton Jenkins who could play center or guard.
These are the guys who are a fit with the 49ers, but it's unlikely any will be available at 43. The rest of the guys are developmental that I would not pick until round 5 or later. We've already got developmental guys in Skule and McKivitz. If Lynch doesn't trade up for a QB, I think they grab one of the first three guys or trade down to the mid-20s for the fourth or fifth guy.
  • Rashawn Slater
  • Christian Darrisaw
  • Alijah Vera-Tucker
  • Jalen Mayfield
  • Samuel Cosmi
CB has good talent in the first few rounds, so they could wait on that.

Outside of that arm length (which is an issue) everything else was pretty darn good. Might be a OG only, but he looked pretty good at LT in his limited time this yr. he held his own vs Kayvon Thibodeaux.

Disagree there isn't good talent beyond the 5 guys you named.

It's a great class. As for Vera Tucker, I had him at OG regardless....OG1 that is
First 2 rounds are chalk full of OL talent. Unless Pitts or a QB falls to 12,I'm down for trading back for a OL or DB.

Leatherwood an option to play RG (slash possibly replace McG next season) if he's there at 43?

Slater is the main exception for me. He just seems so good and it is a fluke that the 49ers are picking this high. Won't get many chances at a guy like him going forward. That being said, I really don't think he makes it to 12 in which case I am totally fine with your approach.

I see Slater as a lock at 10 for the cowboys. Not sure who I would take with both Slater and Pitts on the board. Highly doubt that happens.

What an awful choice to have to make. Agree that it seems highly unlikely. Heart says Pitts but head says Slater. It must be a little disheartening for some of these top guys to know they are going to garbage teams.

If I'm a top 10 prospect I'm dying to fall to 12 no doubt

He would make the run game on the right side nasty

It's the Jeff Bregel Jinks !!!

We need to stop lookin at those OGs from USC !!! ALL OVERRATED !!!

IF we want a guard, trade up high in the 2nd round and draft the kid from Tennessee !!!

Smith is literally the opposite of what they want at OG...he can NOT move laterally, like at all. He's had blood clots in his lungs.

IMO if you were to pick a OG that SF will more than likely not draft it's Trey Smith

NO WONDER WE HAVE ALL PROS ALL OVER OUR OL !!!

u speak like the coaching staff has done a great job picking OL year in and year out... do you ever take the time to think that it may be a good idea for the team to go out of their way and not draft OL who fits their requirement??

if he can not move laterrally, can he at least BLOCK ??
What is status of Wyatt Davis. He hurt his knee 3 time last year and was help off the field. How bad was it? Is he still hurt? In January he said he would be fine that is the last thing I can find ?
