2021 OL prospects

Lol.

No question. If you want a pure pocket passer, you better beef up that pass protection, Kyle. Hell, I'd say the same for a rookie mobile QB too. We forget those dudes scramble around back there close to 3.0 TTT and get f**king blasted often too.

Oddest blindspot ever.

Ha! Stay on the unit that we always complain and away from the Fields thread.
Maybe I missed it but not many talking about the ND prospects, Eichenberg, Banks or Hainsey all potential starter.
So many in play here and I hope we get 2 early to protect our franchise QB.

What's the word on Wyatt Davis' health? I saw EARLY mocks showing his to us at 12, then he got hurt. I am wondering if he makes sense in the 2nd.

After watching more of his tape I think he's average. Not someone I'd spend our high second round pick on.

That's a start but don't bank on it. This system eats through OL and he's 36. Good start though. He's going to help a lot. Still also need a real RG and competition at LG and T.

So after Trent we need everybody
It's the perfect year to take a center imo. He can learn from Mack and potentially get his feet wet at RG, since Kyle prefers experience at center.

I think 43 may end up in a deadzone for IOL this year, though, with the top guys already gone and the next tier not quite as good as some other positions at that spot.

Watching the senior bowl made me love that small school kid rocking the dreads and beer gut. Meinerz (sp?) Not sure he's really a scheme fit but he could fun to watch (on and off the field).

Lmao. That's his MO. Realistically, I think we can go for a center of the future than can play guard initially and another guard for competition at the LG spot. The would leave us with two rookies, Mack, McKivitz, and Tomlinson.

Niners could trade up a bit with one or two of their three 5th round selections. Or one of the high-ranked OL could drop, perhaps an OT who could convert to RG for a season or two.
