THE TREVOR LOTTERY

If you are a QB needy team and have the #1 pick. Why would any team accept any offers if you can draft Lawrence?? That's the golden goose...

If we end up at like 8th overall. I would gladly do this. I'd give up 1st round picks in 2021, 2022, 2023 and probably 2024 as well

Wow, that's a lot.

A top flight QB throwing to Kittle, Aiyuk and Deebo. Forget about it. We would be perennial SB contenders

You're completely right. That's why it would take an insane offer to get the Jags attention

Even an insane offer isn't doing it. The same reason why a team would trade the farm for Lawrence is the same reason why the Jets and Jaguars wouldn't trade the pick. The possibility of getting a true franchise QB at the start of his career is basically priceless.

Where it'd get interesting is if the Bengals fell into the #1 spot. How tempting would it be for them to snag Lawrence for themselves while salvaging whatever they could get for Joe Burrow coming off a major knee injury. Or do they roll with Burrow and flip the pick for a potentially franchise changing windfall of draft picks?

I soooo want to see your last scenario and the Bengals getting the 1st pick just for the sheer entertainment, excitement, and speculation it would bring. Jets have momentum with this win and maybe can get one more. Not sure about the Jags getting one more W though. Bengals #1 pick would be epic drama.
Jags and Jets would both have to win their last 2 games to put the Bengals into 1st because of the tie.

That's a long shot to beat all long shots.

This is true.

Damn you Phoenix for even bringing that scenario up and cloud my brain.

Jags fans have hope now lol
People keep talking about Saleh to Detroit, but he should take the Jaqs job. Lawrence and very good cap space.

The Chargers job might also open up. Herbert with a year experience and great receivers. Joey Bosa. New stadium. Not bad. Their defense sucks so they might want a defense minded coach.

Load of draft picks too. After Lawrence they would still have another 1st round pick, two 2nd rounders, a 3rd and two 4ths in this class.

........and Lawrence quietly contemplating returning to school for his senior year given those franchises.

He'd be crazy to go back. He's likely to go to a bad franchise no matter when he comes out.

Why would JAX hire another Pete Caroll guy?

That would be awesome in terms of pure entertainment. Honestly it would be worth a documentary.

I get it, but did Gus Bradley fail because he was a Pete Carroll guy? Brian Flores is a Bill Belichek guy and he's doing fantastic so far.
