THE TREVOR LOTTERY

There are several reasons Trevor will be the #1 pick. First, he's arguably one of the most talented college QB's in recent history. Second, he'll become a very rich man by playing in the NFL...and was just married. Third, he'll be playing at least initially for legendary coach Urban Meyer, who will be making his mark (finally) in the NFL. This twosome could rewrite some NFL history...it's one of those "dream" pairings that seems destined to do great things.

While I am concerned, I would draft him. 49ers have a more mature locker room which would be less influenced by him, and might get him more motivated. Also, imo there are only 3 QB worthy of drafting in the first round. Trey Lance is too raw (reminds me of Colin Kaepernick which went in the 2nd), and Mac Jones doesn't have the arm strength to be a first round QB.

Dude! That's who I was thinking of. He's like kaep. I was watching his video highlights from JTO and they say he processes fast but I think it's fools gold. His guys were open by a mile huge windows. Super boom and bust. For one mahommes you get a bunch of flaccos and kaepernicks.

Man I do.not like the kap comparison. Went and watched the Kap Nevada highlights, to me I would say kaps best looks like lances redshirt freshman 19 year old tape. I am a Kap fan and still believe he is a top 20 qb if they stopped black balling him. Kap never showed touch on his passes. Lance has shown touch. I get they both can throw it hard as he'll. Kap maybe harder than lance. Kap has straight line speed but lance is better at the quick little jukes.

I see lance as a kap and Rothenberg mix with a little Russell Wilson sprinkled in. However he is raw as he'll. Just started getting outside qb coaching in the last year. That is crazy now of days. Most guys have had dedicated coaching for 5 + years by the time they are drafted. Knowing that and the reports on how well he knows the full offense puts his potential over the top. Fields has shown a high level already though. Glad my job is not on the line I can tell you that.

Im a professional gambler and this means if u bet $1 on him going #1, and he goes #1, you win $100,000

WHAT??
You are a professional gambler and you think a Buck is going to win you $100K with -100,000 odds?
Please open a sports book so I can become a professional gambler. Please
If Lawrence didn't go #1, which he will, do people really think the Jets would take Wilson? Lawrence is not making it to #3.
This you OP? I can't see it happening but I will admit that I am a sucker for conspiracy theories.

Heres an interesting thought. Exactly how smart is this guy? His apparent disinterest could possibly just mean he didn't find college ball mentally challenging. I know high school didn't challenge him at all. iirc he started over a senior as a freshman. So his HS coach saying that makes sense.

I think he is gonna do really well in the pros. The only worry I have about him is if Urban just flails around in the NFL and drags Lawrence down with him.

Still would be nice if he fell to us though. Him or Fields. Gimmi. Joe Cool 2.0

Lawrence will be the no. 1 pick. Not convinced, though, that Meyer will achieve all that much in the NFL before he retires for health reasons.

Hope you have another job.
Draft season is wearing on us. We're to the point where Trevor's comment about not having a chip on his shoulder is translated to he doesn't really have a passion for the game.

Time to get our second wind and remember what kind of prospect and football player this guy is. He checks all the boxes. All prospects are a gamble, but he appears to be a lower risk than most QBs drafted in the last several years. No one's career or future success is guaranteed. This psychoanalysis of his brief comment is getting out of hand though.

This crap happens every year. Lawrence and Fields have been considered the top 2 QB prospects for the last couple of years. Then Wilson has a big year against a weak schedule because of the virus and Jones plays great on a team that's absolutely loaded with talent and people start having doubts. They talk Wilson and Jones into something better than they are and begin to pick Lawrence and Fields apart. Paralysis from analysis.

.. it's possible that The Fields Reps aren't putting money in the right people's bank account to hype him up...

Urban will be out of the league in 3 years with a health issue. Ended up retired, but will eventually come out to lead his "dream job" Notre Dame to a National Title.
