Are There Any Scrambling QB's?

Yeah I understand, Obviously Shanahans type is a pocket passer, quick release, get the ball out fast, it's more of football IQ then athleticism I think, athleticism is a plus. I think Fields is great and would fit well bc he's not a 1 read run type, not to familiar with Lance, but all that said let's just hope we aren't talking about drafting a QB high, I believe Jimmy G is and will play way better as he gets his weapons back, by week 4 they should all be back.

Yup! Shanny will be looking high and low for a Matt Ryan type....
Sunshine can scramble....he's got the tools
Just wait for 22 draft. Jayden Daniels
I'd stay away from any OSU QB. They just got too much talent where it's taking candy from a baby. They've had like 8 straight Heisman candidates and not one of them have a done a thing in the NFL with Haskins already looking like a flop.

So Clemson doesn't have talent around Lawrence?

Ohio State has never had an exceptional quarterback prospect, not since the early or mid 90's... lol. Would be stupid to dismiss one based off who was drafted before he was born. And Haskins doesn't look good yet, but I feel like he will get better... especially if he ever has a line.

I would suggest watching Fields first before making an assumption based off of pure ignorance.

Jayden needs to bulk up. He looked like a twig out there last year. He was a true freshman so I'm sure he will but if he is that size coming into the NFL, he will take a beating and durability will be a question.

Lets also see how he does this year without Brandon Aiyuk and Eno Benjamin. He was impressive last year on a number of come from behind victories but lets see how he does without two of his top playmakers.
It would be nice to have a QB who was at least a threat to run.

So your saying if a QB is a "threat " to run he will get injured. Well our QB is hurt and he doesn't run so what's your point?

I live in Ohio, watching OSU is what we do, so I'm no stranger to him. I would suggest watching OSU football yourself because you're missing that the Big 10 just can't hang. They're too slow. OSU qb's have done anything they wanted since Urban Meyer came to town. Not surprisingly 2 out of his 3 picks came against Clemson.

You might be right that other qb's got it easy too though. Like with Haskins though you'll be getting a QB who is use to throwing to w i d e open receivers.

The Big 10 can't hang is an old stereotype that has been proven false. Some of the best athletes in the NFL are from the Big 10.. what a ridiculous notion.

J.T. Barrett wasn't a high pick, neither was Cardale Jones, neither was Braxton Miller (though drafted as an athlete). Haskins was the first, one who was drafted because of his arm talent and potential. His footwork was always an issue, compounded with the fact that he has a horrible offensive line and zero weapons in Washington hasn't helped. Well, one weapon.. the very slow Terry McClaurin, who despite being from the Big 10 ran a 4.35 and has already established himself as one of the best in the game.

Clearly you know nothing about football. I'm done with you.

So much wrong here. McClaurin is from OSU.
When did I say OSU was slow or didn't have talent? I said the rest of the Big 10 is slow and that's why they can't compete with OSU. OSU is 64-4 vs the rest of the Big 10 since Urban.

Most of those you listed were running qb's btw and that's why they weren't drafted. Doesn't change that they were all Heisman candidates.

And I wouldn't talk lack of knowledge if you can't see such simple dominance.

If Jimmy just had the scrambling ability of Tony Romo I would be sold. But watching his first couple games this year I really want someone who can extend the play better.

Agree. If Kyle can find a young Jimmy 2.0 type (quick release, accurate arm) in next years draft, or in Undrafted free agency that is as mobile as a Wilson or Kyle Murray, I know Kyle can coach him up. Was really disappointed Brock Rutter couldn't unseat BeatHard in training camp.

You need to re-examine logic. Saying that a running qb is more likely to get injured is NOT saying that pocket qb's won't ever get injured. Also, I am not saying that a running quarterback will always get injured. Anyway if I remember correctly, Garoppolo's first injury was on a running play. So that is my point. Fairly clear I think.
