Yeah I mean clearly it looking like the plan is to have Jimmy start in 2021. Go get one of the higher ceiling kids to sit back and learn for a yr.

Yeah, it looks like it's going to be a QB, CB or Edge. I don't think Lance makes it to us, but I think Jones will. I'd be content with either one.

For me it's QB, OL, or Pitts. 49ers don't play press man and they don't seem to value CBS as high as other teams, plus some really good players in R2: Melifonwu, Newsome, Stokes. I think if they go EDGE, it's in a trade down. Pitts would bring this offense to a scary level. OL for insurance if McG sucks again. And yeah, would love for Lance or Fields to drop to 12....or a small trade up. My .02

They just restructured Ryan's contract...he's not going anywhere for the next two yrs.

I'm not content with Jones. I would rather just roll with Jimmy and draft a QB in a yr if that was the case.

Pro days are pro days but I did see a lot of similarities with Steve Young.

How that translates into the NFL is another argument and needs to be proven over time, but if Shanny is confident enough in the roster to win now and he falls to 12, we still have 9 other picks to address other positions of need and stashing a QB like him that can learn under Shanny would make the NFL hate us.

If somehow Lance was there, along with Farley/Surtain/Slater and it was my job to draft, I'd lose my s**t.

s**t i dont know about you but id trade up to get Lance f**k the b******t this guy could be the next big thing at qb. Id give our 12th overall and our first next year to trade with the Lions or Bengals hes worth it. Lance took last year off to prepare for the NFL he looks poised and mentally ready and you see hes ready physically dudes a gunslinger accurate too. Have him sit behind Jimmy for a little maybe give him some live reps in a few games and if jimmy sucks or gets hurt Lance will be more than ready to lead the team. He carries himself like a pro already.

Not sure what pro day you were watching.

You can definitely tell the guys who value strength versus accuracy. His pro day majority of his throws were just catchable balls and not accurate passes. That's in shorts and tee shirt against air.
