There's Allen who worked out and like fifty other guys like him that flopped.

Allen has been the exception not the rule. If Lance could do the same then that is great... but changing an opinion about a player because of a pro day is a fool's errand. I still consider hip a top 5 QB... but he's 4th or 5th which doesnt justify being picked at #3 when there are so many questions unanswered about his game.

But I wouldnt fault anyone for liking him... hell I was enamored by him after his proday but then I compared his games to that of Fields and Jones and it leaves allot to be desired when you look at anticipation, pocket presence and ball placement when he hits his receiver. He's incredibly raw and risky but he also has the highest of ceilings.

Anyone changing their opinion based on a Pro Day I agree are on a fools errand.

However anyone that can't understand that when we've evaluated him we've seen a 19 year old kid, and not believe he can improve is just as foolish.

He came in at 18 and was told, you aren't really big enough for what we want to do. Went off and got massive, dominated physically.

Then he was told, your throwing motion is funky and is causing inaccuracy. Went off and fixed it.

What's next?

I'd love to find out, but I'm not paying the price we did to do so.

Don't forget Kyle has worked directly with Fields at a QB camp, that might have been enough.

I don't put much stock into that. Kyle probably doesn't even remember the kid. There are dozens of highly touted prospects coming through that camp every single year.

But I totally agree with your risk assessment on Lance. That's literally what's keeping me from loving the guy. Overall, there are things I like about all the top QBs, so whichever direction they go in, I'll be excited. There's no Jameis Winston or Sam Darnold in this group, 2 guys that grossed me the hell out.

Yes I am hearing he doesn't have much to go on and his competition wasn't the best? I guess the same could be said for Wilson and Jones? What about Fields?

Wasn't that 3 weeks ago? I'm sure Kyle Remembers the kid who was expected to be a top 5 pick

It was 4 years ago. The QB collective is a QB camp for high school players.

Im not arguing that he cant be molded into realizing his vast potential... but at #3 and two future 1sts... there are just too many unanswered questions. And when media starts going nuts over pro days and forgetting about all the red flags they were talking about up to that point.. it starts to scare me off that prospect. Some of the biggest QB busts had the best pro days so it's hard to want to endorse a guy with that much draft capital when the tape just isnt there on him. It's not that he cant do it, he just hasnt shown it consistently on film yet.

Nah Kyle will remember him. He was just as high profile as Trevor Lawrence
QB grades are for fans and analysts. Whoever Kyle and John get, I trust they did their due diligence.

I think Russell Wilson is douchey and cheesy but he can come play QB for my team anytime.
