He knows more about QB play than you or anyone in the WZ thats for sure. SO yes. I will trust his judgement. And I dont know anyone who had Herbert over Burrow. Burrow was playing great on a crap team before his injury so that is still to be determined.

I admit he knows more than you and I. However, he does get scared away from Allen and Herbert types by their current flaws that he sees after watching 8 games of film and not having access to any other information. I guarantee that Shanahan has not only watched more snaps of both players, but he also has a relationship with Ryan Day and Cosell does not. So on a specific play, Shanahan can actually know what the reads were and if he missed them or was coached to do something different. He also can know just how much his ribs were hurting against Alabama and how much his hand affected him against Northwestern.

I wasnt comparing his knowledge to Shanny's. You are doing that now. I was simply saying that I trust his judgement because he knows his stuff and has been doing this for many years.

It does make me a bit concerned when guys who know QB play like Cosell and Simms are worried about Fields. Fields was the guy I wanted when the trade was made but I surely dont know QB play like these guys.

And all I'm saying is Cossell was worried about Allen and Herbert as well. However, those worries are based on 8 games of coaches film. If Fields has the character, that everyone says he does, then like Allen and Herbert, he can work on improving on his weaknesses and inconsistencies.

For what it's worth Doug Pederson didn't go to Carson Wentz's pro day.

So if the jets keep Darnold what are the chances of them selecting this guy? I really think he needs to sit for a year but- but- if he is gonna have a chance to evolve the jets might be perfect for him. With how much draft capital they have coming up he could grow with the new coaching staff and team.

Daniel Jeremiah said the niners had zoom calls with Lance before the trade. So yes, Kyle and JL weren´t on his pro day but they still look at him.

No we attended his pro day just not Lynch or Kyle. Same as Jones' first pro day.
