Did Lance elevate his play in the only game this year? Vs the best competition he's faced at NDSU?

Fields is a baller plan and simple. Would love to have him or Lance in SF.

I keep going back and forth between Lance and Fields, being ok with Mac, and not liking anybody lol. The only major thing that scares me with Lance is the JMU. It was the only game where he was really under pressure and boy did he crumble. Mechanics went out the window, got laser-focused on his first read.

If you can point to one thing that separates good from great players, it's that they elevate their game when the competition is highest. I'm fairly certain Fields has this trait, Mac hasn't been tested at all and Lance may have a red flag there.

Did he elevate his game vs Alabama?....how about Northwestern?

You know the one thing fields is missing that both Lance and Mac have?

It's a National Championship.

Fields wasn't that bad vs Bama. OSU's defense couldn't ever get off the field. Nearly double up in yards and time of possession.

So weird for an Alabama team to be playing for a national title, they haven't been there in so long. Kinda came out of obscurity once Mac Jones was at the helm.

Trey Lance is so exciting and terrifying as a prospect at the same time.

IMO he's not any riskier than Fields....Zach Wilson seems "safer" than both of those guys but I doubt he's available when the Niners pick.

I like Lance because I think he's a perfect fit for Shanahan and I think his physical traits are top notch.

Can't decide between Lance and fields

You....are correct, sir.....as usual.

Cheers!

That's pretty substantial imo.

I wouldn't hate Lance though. Just prefer Fields.

He's talking about if Josh Allen came out after his junior season for the 2017 NFL Draft.

Personally I think he is just riding the Josh Allen hype while not having the tools Josh Allen had and all the accuracy issues (admittedly not as big of an issue).

Those Shanahan comments about drafting Josh Allen in 2017 are telling. Allen had 2 fewer starts and 90 more pass attempts in 2017 than Trey Lance does right now. I don't think a measly 90 pass attempts will deter Kyle from Lance if he was ready to take Allen.

Reread what I wrote, my friend.

What aspect of the game is Fields massively better than Lance at?

Fields has produced for two straight seasons at the highest level of college football. Trey Lance has played one season against low level FCS schools. It isn't a knock on Lance but you can't ignore it. Fields is also a better athlete. Fields was also asked to throw the ball into tight windows while Lance was throwing to wide open receivers. Go watch the Clemson game and Fields makes 5-7 throws into coverage.

Fields got bigger hands!
I am concerned about small QB hands. It leads to fumbles, picks, and lower completion percentage due to accuracy not being able to grip the ball right at all times. Remember Kaep?
Like Jimmy's hands.

How is Zach WIlson safer? His one great season he was barely touched, so you have to ask how he reacts to not having a clean pocket & he is physically smaller and might not stand up to hits.
