Why am I not surprised? Because Mac Jones is the same type of sh*tty quarterbacks that Shanahan likes ala Cousins, Beathard, etc. Also, back in 2017 when John Lynch went down to Mahomes' pro day as a smokescreen, after watching Mahomes threw he did call Shanny and told him may be they needed to rethink about the plan instead of taking Solomon Thomas. And what happened? Shanny ignored Lynch's advice and stuck to his guns to take Solomon Thomas. And this is why we have ended up here as we speak.

Honestly, if this is true and say Kyle Shanahan really insists on taking Mac Jones, if I were John Lynch I would resign. I wouldn't put my name to drafting Mac Jones and possibly turning this massive trading up plan into a train wreck.

Agreed, if I was Lynch I would be so pissed at Kyle and the organization.

Which one of them got to have "their pick" last? Give it to the other one this time.

All those tackles he breaks, I don't think that's happening with non-FCS defenders. Sure he's strong, but when it comes to broken tackles, I think there is a very direct correlation with the lesser talented FCS.

Yep, watching his games and see him just taking those without much thought. He'll get killed trying that in the NFL.

The way I see it is he should have the ability to shed people in the pocket ala Big Ben ... extend plays.

I saved this clip while watching his tape because it's so ridiculous. Beast Mode Trey

Someone really said Trey Lance's arm is average, and that he needs a running start to throw deep...

You know those old videos of all time greats that NFL films shows from time to time. His running style is so violent and he has so much balance and elusiveness in those runs it reminds me a tiny bit of Jim Brown.

In this gif of his run here, he's literally shedding two defenders off his body down field...he's an angry runner.

The way DLmen bounce off Lance reminds me of the talent gap (#92 lol). Impressive but I don't want my #3 overall pick trying this in the NFL. He trucked #52 (a LB). If he tries to truck any NFL player wearing a #52 it will look cool, but he will soon learn not to try that again.
Yeah, he definitely shouldn't be doing that in the NFL.

Hopefully Shanny never asks him to do stuff like this if he's drafted.

Are people still pretending like 49ers have leaks out of the building?

Stop believing this garbage. You don't make a move like that unless the whole front office is in lock step as far as who you like.

If there is ANY difference of opinion it's who they have as 1 vs 2 behind Trevor Lawrence.

I don't know. While the front office has been really good about not leaking stuff, the draft involves more people than most operations. You've got a ton of scouts and other people that are part of that process that may not be privy to the whole picture, but they might leak tidbits that they've overheard.

Yeah Lombardi is full of s**t, every time he says something it usually turns out wrong...only time he has any legit info it's NE related.

Like I keep saying, no one had a freaking clue they were making a trade...no one had a clue they were this invested in QBs. You had NFL insiders saying they were gonna trade for Minshew lol. NOW they all of a sudden know who the QB will be a week later? Nah
