8. Washington Football Team: Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota Statehttps://theathletic.com/2228878/2020/11/30/nfl-mock-draft-1-0-jets-panthers-washington-and-more-get-new-quarterbacks/
Lance is an unprecedented evaluation. His production is remarkable (46 touchdowns, three turnovers), but he has only 17 starts on his resume with all 17 against FCS competition. While his evaluation is mostly projection-based, he is well-built with the arm talent and athleticism worth drafting and developing. It doesn't hurt that Lance's coaches and teammates call him the hardest worker on the team.

I'd say there's no chance for Lance. The only glimmer for me is if Mack Jones and or Kyle Trask lights it up and recency bias gets them chosen above him.
I would gladly take him and go the Mahomes route, sit him for a year, then hopefully trade Jimmy after he has a good season.
Lance's ceiling is just so high.

This guy has the potential to be a qb right there with Lawrence with the RIGHT coaching and organization. I desperately want Lynch to be aggressive and get him or Wilson if that's who Kyle wants. Me personally I'm leaning towards Lance because the ceiling is just way too high with that arm talent and mobility.
If you have to trade with Dallas at 4 or do anything to get in front of the Washington team you do it if you believe your guy is a franchise qb who will not restrict your play calling

Trey Lance is the biggest mystery among the draft's Big Four QBs. I spent the past month getting to know his story, why he's always flown under the radar and how he'll blow up the pre-draft process in the coming months https://t.co/f6NrRiFVAi

Could Trey Lance be this year's Josh Allen? I think he has the potential to be. While the traits aren't an exact match across the board, they're very similar in many ways. Both come from small schools, both have experience doing pro-style things, both are oozing with traits, etc. Trey Lance has every physical tool you want in a QB just like Allen did.
The reason I bring this up is that Kyle said he really liked Josh Allen in 2017 and was hoping he'd come out. I bet he really likes Trey Lance as well.

Watching the game last night, I had the same thought. Unfortunately for us, there are about 900 teams that need QBs this year ahead of us lol.

Yes please.
I'm telling everyone he's gonna shoot up the draft boards (even more) once the draft process really starts happening. I don't think Wilson get's taken before him.

Agreed. I think he'll interview really well.
