No. I didn't. All I'm saying is - tackling in NFL isn't all that great. He played FCS at age 19-20. He will not stay the same.

Can't really apply that to QBs like Lawrence and Mac Jones - who have excellent coaching staffs and have some of the top Wrs.

They're still going to get better coaching in the NFL. As far as having better WR's, that's true, but you're also going to be facing far better CB's in the NFL than you did in the FCS. Fields, Jones and Lawrence played with better WR's but they also regularly went up against NFL caliber defenders nearly every week. Lance, not so much. And because he only played one season at that level, you're going to require a lot more projection than for most.

It was a showcase game so if anything he was trying to hard.

Exactly my point, a 20 year old kid knowing he only has 1 game he's going to be forcing, running all around and just trying to carry the team and not play his game. Like I said I'm not crying wolf 1 game

Devil's advocate: this may show he doesn't handle mental pressure well.

You hope, but honestly there's no way of telling that with any certainty.

This is the biggest thing for me. Faster LBs and full time professionals that analyze every single tell. A throw on a curl a QB made in college where the receiver caught it while the DB broke just a half yard late will be an INT in the pros. This is why fundamentals for any offensive skill player is vital in order to not give away the route, run side, or play.

Got a link for that source? Any spot which has Fields last in accuracy needs a link.

I mentioned the source. They don't typically give out advanced metrics for free because the information is 10X more valuable than statistics with zero regard to context.

Thank you for providing the link.

Seems like you missed the part where they explain Fields being lower on that stat you posted due to his average depth of target. Hell the way it reads is they're showing their own metrics have gaps in them.

Of course. There is no certainty of that with any player. Just saying - he's gonna get bigger and stronger too.

Lots of rumors that Atlanta is open to trading down and already had discussions with teams. ATL been the team connected to Lance for awhile, just saying.

They have no idea who we're picking. Just speculating like everyone else. I'm sure their assumption is if they are actually very high on Lance that Shanahan would be equally high on him as well.

Then again they redid Matt Ryan's contract and they may be realizing they could get a top notch offer to move down and it could be too good to pass up.

Nah. Fields is the guy. Atlanta wants him badly. That's why Lynch moved up to 3. Fields is a GA boy and rumors have it that Arthur Blank has a hard on for him. That's why Atlanta is looking to trade back. They got cock blocked and Fields is gonna be a 49er.

I really don't give a crap about that. No QB made it to the Hall of Fame because if how or strong they were. His arm strength is already very good, any further increase there isn't going to matter half as much as being able to sit back in the pocket, dissect a defense and get the ball out quickly and accurately on a consistent basis.

Now that sounds good to me.

I was talking in respect to him running ppl over. Obviously being able to sit back in pocket and be accurate is what matters most.
